Hugs are acceptable, as are ear scratches, though please keep them to a minimum. Appearance Description Standing at five feet and five inches, with somewhat short purple hair, adorned with a yellowish-gold flower pin, Wisp is far from the standard and typical traits of masculinity. He is lithe and feminine, practically anorexic, with pale skin, sharp blue eyes, and a pair of purple furred cat ears. His wardrobe is unremarkable, filled with relatively loose fitting shirts and pants, enough to allow his tail to poke out and swish in the breeze. Perhaps the only particularly exceptional thing about him is the collar that sits around his neck; it appears to be a standard collar one might use on their pet, but what purpose he has for wearing it is unknown. Personality Wisp has a cheerful disposition, simple as that. His standard and default demeanour is that of happiness, making him a particularly friendly individual. It takes a vast amount to turn him away from being your friend; some consider his attitude to be incredibly naive, but those kinds of people he tends to ignore. He has an innate belief that people are good at heart, and that they do the wrong thing because of external influence. If that external influence is dealt with, then that person will go back to being good. In a similar vein, he has a very lax view on death. While he doesn’t enjoy hurting or killing people, he believes that when people need to die they serve a means for an ends. He is okay with killing people himself if it is necessary, and dislikes handing the job over to others because just because it’s an unsavoury task. Sometimes people just can’t be helped, and sometimes leaving people alive will risk the goodness of another person. In terms of combat, Wisp isn't much one to care. He clearly has an intuitive and analytical mind, but in battle he refuses to wear armour, and even in fight scenarios he refuses to drop that cheery demeanour he so loves. Instead of obliviousness, though, which it might at first be mistaken for, that attitude is instead one of confidence - he doesn't worry for battle because he doesn't fear the outcome. As such he can somewhat be seen as a kind of beacon in fights; someone to rally behind, or in front of as the case may be, and face whatever may come with full confidence in your success. Class The best way to describe Wisp might be "Battlemage", though his sword skills alone leave something to be desired. For the most part Wisp can primarily be considered a Mage, though due to his limited raw strength, he isn’t an especially good one. With his Divine Protection at his back he is able to capitalise effectively on what power he does have, and makes grand use of the skills he has developed through it. To back it up, he has spent some time learning swordplay, and though he is far from the level of a trained Knight, he can at least hold his own. Bio "Backstory? Why would we talk about that? There's not really anything that interesting back there! The future is much more exciting!" Wisp's backstory isn't exactly public record, mainly because very little actually happened. He was orphaned during the war, but eventually managed to find a stable home that allowed him to live a relatively well off life. From a young age he studied magic, spurred on by his Divine Protection, though his lack of innate power left him limited in the goals he could strive for. Along the way he picked up a hobby of practice fighting, while transformed into a desire to learn combat, as a supplement and extension of his abilities, leading him to refer to himself as "The Red Blade". He knows it's pretentious, just let him have this. While it cant be said that Wisp is anything more than average in terms of his magic, the Divine Protection itself grants him knowledge in regards to his abilities. Through it, he understands how to best utilise his skill set, maximising efficiency and capitalising on the variety his fire affinity brings. Extra N/A
