How was it that, someone who was somewhat sisterly to the almighty, all-powerful, all-bitchy Victoire Bailey, could lose in such a half-assed game of wit? Either Kavi was better than he thought he was or she wasn’t very good. He didn’t know which of those he liked better, but there was something entertaining about the end results. A date next Friday and a call to be made this coming Monday. Boy oh boy, Kavi was feeling better about this night the longer it went on. And, now, as he stood relatively close to the center of the backyard area, Kavi thought on his next moves, eyes glancing every potential. He saw everyone in their own little groups, some who had broken off into their own smaller groups, and just some of those who might’ve preferred to be alone, though it seemed most were by the beverages table. Good thing it was a large one because the last thing Kavi wanted to do was unintentionally trigger Ariel. The girl has more problems than she lets on and Kavi didn’t feel like being the focal point of said problems, so he avoided her and all of the Misfits who were by her side. “So, who will it be?” Kavi muttered to himself, looking at the other hopefuls. It wouldn’t reflect well on him if he went to talk to another girl. No matter how tempting it was for him to talk to that one Angelica--Angie--girl, Kavi turned away from that idea and focused on who all remained. He had it down to two picks and both of them were equally entertaining. He had Johnny, who was with one of those new kids. And then you had the drama queen, Oliver. Both had obviously no relation to the sort of people that Kavi usually talked to, but since Jason was nowhere in sight, Kavi had to create his own fun. He took just a minute longer to decide before his feet started to move and a grin became the first thing the receiving party would see. As he took a place next to this person and a drink in his hand, Kavi turned to face him and struck up a conversation starter. “Too bad Elijah couldn’t make it, huh? I’m pretty sure he would’ve loved to see you replace him with...whatever your name is.”

[sub]L O C A T I O N / / In the pool getting pruned af I N T E R A C T I N G W I T H / / Lucas Anderson because she finally got his last name.[/sub]

Stella didn’t have any time to respond to Penny because, before she could get a word in, Penny was long gone, once again strolling through the party, which left her just a little sad, though now that she knew the name of Lucas - well, better yet - his surname, she smiled at the boy. He was cute and now that Kavi was gone, she didn’t have to feel weird about talking. She still couldn’t believe that he got a date with Nadia. She was, of course, happy that her friend wasn’t taking that public, loud rejection by Ariel the wrong way. Most people don’t see the side she sees from him - they used to, but not anymore. That’s why it put Stells in a better mood when she saw him smiling as he walked away; in return, it gave her a bit more confidence. She swam around for a bit, her eyes mostly staying on Lucas. She didn’t know what to say. At least with Penny, she had reasons to speak, but now that she was alone with him - well, as alone one could be in the pool - she was entirely flustered and unsure. God, why was it so hard for her to actually speak? “So, uhm, Lucas,” her voice was shaky, but she got out words, “how’re you enjoying the party?” Stella nervously asked, beating herself over that she would ask such a stupid question. You’re stupid, stupid, stupid! He didn’t know if it was because Jordan was talking in that weird accent that Sonny still couldn’t get used to, or if it was because Marisol had suddenly left for whatever reason was eating at her. The more time went on and the more Sonny became lost in his own thoughts, the more it made sense that his lack of interest was tied to Marisol leaving so suddenly. No reason whatsoever -just went up and left. And after that? Sonny didn’t know where she was. He figured she needed air, so that’s why he didn’t follow, but now he hated how she was causing him to not be interested in the Brit’s funny accent. Only a few moments later, Sonny made the conscious decision to depart from the Misfits for a bit. “I’ll catch you losers later, but be ready to leave when I am or you're getting your own ride home,” Sonny told them firmly as he waved to them casually, leaving them to their own devices. Truth be told, it was a blessing for him. Save for Ariel, Chopsticks, and maybe even Indian Kavi, Sonny was glad to not be in their company. Admittedly, Sonny didn’t think he and Archer would be neutral tonight but he was proving not to be as big of a dumbfuck as he usually was, so he was grateful for that, though Sonny didn’t want to stick around and wait for the fairy to piss him off again, so he opted to walk away. As he found himself roaming the areas of the party, seeing just about everyone in their own groove. Some he wouldn’t mind talking to for a bit and others he wanted to avoid like the plague. All of them presented their own pros and cons and Sonny didn’t feel like weighing them out. What he knew to be the absolute truth was that Sonny had worked up quite the thirst, so he went over to the beverages table and got himself a drink. It was non-alcoholic, of course, At least Santiago took the time to have some non-alcoholic drinks, though the selection was pretty limited: juice and water. That was it. He didn’t know if Santiago really wanted people to kick him in the balls or had a weird sense of humor. Whichever the case, he’d take simply apple juice over water any day. He took a few sips and looked around. Thank the god that he wasn’t anywhere close to people he’d rather avoid. “Thank the fuck that Victoire, the bitch, isn’t anywhere around,” Sonny commented to himself, looking over, “ain’t that right, Oli--whatever your name is?” Sonny smiled over at that guy Oliver, the one who was always flapping his mouth.
