Name: "Sir" Ahnciel K. Sinclair Age: Appears 20-24 Gender: Male pronouns Species: Half-Elf

Ahnciel stands at 5'10. Outside of their armor, they had an affinity towards wearing scarves but otherwise wears whatever is comfortable. Hes not in the position to be picky. For traveling purposes, 'Ahnci' could only manage a clasped black cloak and what appears to be a large snow fox pelt draped around their shoulders. "Keepa" is, however, quite alive and simply likes being carried.
Special Weaknesses - Due to their privileged life, Ahnci has an unbecoming fear of spiders, centipedes, mice, rats and that like of vermin. (Thankfully, Keepa is an excellent 'mouser') - A tad dense at times, Ahnci is fairly inexperienced with the outside world and their curiosity may get them into trouble. - Though they are versed in holy paladinic scriptures and combat prayers, hes yet to actually fight anything that such powers would come in handy against. Powers, Abilities, & Equips
Lay on Hands Ahnciel's faith in the strength of mortal spirit compels empathetic entities' very essence to bolster itself with the aid of an otherwise light infusion of divine energy. On top of lending a calming sense of presence capable of easing anxiety and soothing pain, this power (with a moment of sustained contact and devoted focus) swiftly mends minor injuries. Works well in tandem with other healing magics to focus stronger and more dedicated spells like a lens. Bane Shadows flee in the presence of their dominating counterpart. A passage of power recited in elven tongue tells of a harsh and formless challenge issued to beings of negative energy (such as demons or undead). Lesser beings may become stunned or flee the overwhelming light, having instinctual fear instilled in their otherwise hollow minds. Greater entities like certain undead or demons are drawn to Ahnciel's power, as "The more brilliant a light, the deeper the shadows it casts". (Either turn undead or 'taunt' depending on the strength of the opponent's evil essence) (Nearly useless against 'mundane' beasts and mankind...though anyone who speaks Elvish would be taken aback by Ahnciel's heinous renditions of holy scripture) Smite A low chant channels wild positive energy into Ahnciel's weapon, fueled by their conviction. The process takes time and involves sections found in their 'Bane' rendition. As such, most evil entities become instinctively aware of Ahnciel's intentions and the unintelligent ones are typically drawn into the strike. This 'spell' battles whatever negative energy possesses the target with a single discerning strike. Typically, lesser undead would evaporate into a burst of consecrated ashes while demons would suffer wounds which burn like being set with liquid metal and do not naturally heal. Ignominy Lay on Hands works adversely against entities bound or manifested of negative energy. The same spell with intent brands the target with the palm of the paladin, infusing the wound with a 'curse' of sorts which hinders the entity's flow of essence and can significantly weaken the subject especially in the way of spellcasting or other forms of naturally healing. Like a curse, the spell must be opposed and wholly broken at once regardless of repeated application. Eventually, and by most demonic standards after the first instance, the victim is reduced to a pitiful shell of the monster they once were...simply existing as a suffering stain on all existence. This spell is known to inquisitors as 'Mercy' or 'Shame' as the demonic hierarchy is quick to turn on weakness within its ranks, and this spell sings humiliation upon its victims. For a paladin with a heart, even for the irredeemably damned, such punishment is as cruel as breaking a wolf's leg and throwing it back to the pack to be helplessly judged and devoured by its own kind. It's a statement of ultimate spite for the enemy and is greatly frowned upon as its use stands in contrast of common civil and divine teachings. ... Noblesse Oblige Aura A mild resistance to damaging magics, though mostly to ward off hexes and curses, a Paladin learns early in their teachings how to channel their essence into a barrier to stave off maleficent forces. The result is a bulwark of internal radiance prepared to burn the roots of corruption before they take hold and protect the paladin from forces that would otherwise blight their essence. The Aura is easy to sense and pervades the air around them like a scent. Like garlic to a vampire, good alignments would be met with a pleasing but nebulous sensation to suit their disposition. Neutral alignments scarcely perceive the Aura as anything more than an intuition of sincerity; a general 'wellness' wafting almost imperceivably with a hint of rosmarinus and lavandar alongside a scattering of honey...such is Ahnciel's aura. Paladins typically host their own unique aura which many sense as being indescribable. Regardless, Paladins aren't ones for subtleties, and cloak-and-dagger tactics are best left to the..."more experienced".

Dexterity - Ahnciel's armor offers little hindrance, and the design of their weapons utilizes mobility and flexibility. Such combat is rewarded by ingrained conditioning and training. Acrobatics fit into this strength, though Ahnci isn't much of a match for a carnie worth their wage. Left-Handed Swordsmanship - Conventional combat and training in swordsmanship is typically taught to right-handed individuals for fighting other right-handed individuals. In Ahnciel's case, defenses open up in unconventional ways that force humanoid combatants to think on their feet or improvise in order to overcome Ahnci's 'off' stance. It is encouraged that they think quickly, as Ahnci seldom goes easy on opponents and viciously capitalizes on weaknesses or mistakes. Bow Training - *sigh* Yes, Ahnciel technically knows how to use a bow mostly from a workout regimen. Given enough time to line up a shot, they could probably even be accurate enough to hit a humanoid target at twenty-meters assuming it was holding still. It's hardly impressive of a feat by any standard, but is still worth mentioning if the topic ever came up.

Human-Crafted Pappenheimer Rapier - A commissioned masterwork with a sharpened edge forged wider than a typical rapier making it serviceable for light slashing attacks as well as intended piercing advances. Elven-Forged CĂș Magil - A longsword with a versatile design intended for two-handed use due to its length and curvature. Roughly the same length as a standard European longsword, functions like a katana for the sake of martial arts and tactics though durable enough to retain effectiveness after more than a small handful of swings.
A culmination of elven and human sophistication, the elegant mithril plating "MyrWill Oath" weighs astonishingly little and is deceptively flexible while donned on one whom it is sworn to, moving like most leathers in moments willed by its ward. This quality mostly serves the purpose of allowing a greater range of motion than plate armor would typically allow. The legend of the Sinclair house is that the armor, itself, is mundane save for the souls of its wearer's heroic lineage which protect its true owners and carry their burdens to see noble tasks through. Both men and women of house Sinclair have donned the Oath, and its contours accommodates either sex's form, shaping itself to the next worthy knight. The metal glows with a faint turquoise hue while exposed to moon and/or starlight. He grew up preferring a sword over a pen, however, having experience as a constable of Ispar's Easthaven Watch but it was hardly befitting of his name or capabilities. On an interesting day, he'd be tasked with sorting out grave robbers or other common banditry...usually with a dozen armed and armored men in tow tasked with keeping the house's youngest out of any real trouble. Always longing for the open road and the adventure that came with seeking a greater duty, he conspired to seek it out for himself. It was surprisingly easier than Ahnci had figured it would be to abscond with the family armor and his gear before knocking in tracks to parts unknown. It was like living a fairytale, and every good story needed a knight in shining armor...regardless of their methods. Unfortunately, the storybooks don't talk about sleeping on rocks or cooking your own meals and 'our hero' quickly found themselves squandering most of their funds on lodging as he hadn't thought to run away with anything practical like provisions or tools. Such blood money was occasionally picked from the pockets of dead highwaymen drawn to the glamour of his kit, but you can't eat gold as it is. Fortune returned with the rumors of a rekindled gold-rush town of sorts. Certainly such a place in the shadow of a range of mountains has its fair share of trouble...the sort that deserves a hero!...of sorts.
