Sydney felt uncomfortable. He only intended to show Indigo the usefulness of Bug-type Pokemon. He didn't mean to dash the boy's spirits. Indigo spoke first, and Sydney was glad. He didn't know what to say.

As Indigo left, Sydney lifted a hand and offered his friendliest, [b]"Bye."[/b] 

He then turned to Daniel. A melancholy smile painted his face. [b]"Yeah, I caught the Spewpa we found, but uh, I need to get back to the lab now."[/b] Suddenly his mood brightened a shade or two. [b]"Oh yeah, I forgot. Here, let's register each other in our Pokedexes. All we have to do is turn them on and hold them back to back for a couple seconds..."[/b]

A soft ding signaled a successful exchange. "There, now you can call me anytime you have a question about Bug-type Pokemon. Share that with Indigo too." With an honest smile, he put his Pokedex away. "It was nice to meet you."

It was a Buneary! She tilted her head curiously at Indigo. She was young, and this was the closest she had ever come to a human. Normally, her parents told her to stay away from people, but she never understood why. They couldn't hold her back forever though, so hear she was. She would decide for herself if the humans were all that bad.
