She is idealistic, having a vision of what a truly perfect world will be. She can be uppity, believing herself to be better than others only because she truly believes God has chosen her. It takes a lot to phase her, she is often calm in intense situations, knowing God is watching over her. Because she wants the world to follow what she believes, she often comes across as fanatical to others. She knows that God has a plan in all things and even the zombie apocalypse is meant for something. Perhaps...a new Garden of Eden? Where one would fear for their lives, Genevieve was afraid, but not for the same reason. Instead, she figured this was a sign that her and her faith had been right all along. They were now among the end times. But these Walkers are a blemish on God's great Earth and they must be vanquished. Walkers came and attacked her church, forcing her to flee and go on the run. She fought as she fled though, praying for their souls once she was safely away. History Before Outbreak: Genevieve was born to unlucky parents who did not want a child. It was clear in their early treatment of Genevieve. Underfeeding her, abuse, neglect, and more. Many people weren't aware they even had a child since they never let her outside. It wasn't until Genevieve escaped and found solace in a neighbors house that DCFS was called and Genevieve was saved from her parents. However, the foster care system does not have the greatest track record either. Genevieve was shuffled from home to home, some taking her in and actually ensuring her needs were met, while others gave her the basics and left her to her own devices. Genevieve longed for a place to call home. During one such foster homestay, Genevieve discovered God. Religion was often a foundation for most of the homes she stayed in, but it wasn't until she read the Bible herself that she came to terms with her newfound belief. She latched on to her faith so hard she decided to pursue it. As soon as Genevieve turned 18 she sought out a convent where she could train to devote herself to God. In Georgia, she found one such convent: Sisters of Mercy. Though hesitant to invite someone with Genevieve's lack of background, they decided that it must have been God's will that brought her to their doorstep. They invited her in and Genevieve went through the process (where she earned her name, Genevieve). She took everything she learned to heart, unaware that her history has warped her worldview. She stayed in the convent for many years, learning various skills such as gardening, knitting, and first aid. After years, the Outbreak occurred and Genevieve's world was changed. History Since Outbreak: Word of the outbreak spread to the Sisters of Mercy and many took to prayer and worship in order to get through the hard times. Being that they were not a viable target for looters, but also knowing they had no real means of defending themselves, many of the sisters and clergy fled to their homes to help their families. Genevieve and one other nun, Sister Ruth, stayed behind. They struggled to make a shelter for themselves, but they managed as best they could. Sister Ruth eventually couldn't handle the stress and she killed herself. Genevieve suffered, losing a close friend, and she placed her body, wrapped in cloth, in a separate room. Shortly after, two men came into the convent, seeking shelter and food. Genevieve, out of kindness, offered them a place to stay and food. The men were initially thankful, but turned quickly, hoping to be able to stay here indefinitely. And seeing as Genevieve was there, they figured they would take her too. Genevieve suffered under their stay, but she finally had enough. One night, she stole one of the men's guns and shot him. His friend turned to run away and Genevieve gave chase. He spouted off nonsense about the rise of the undead and how she would not be safe here. She ended his life and prayed for their souls. Genevieve explored the man's claims, checking on Sister Ruth. Genevieve discovered Sister Ruth, moving about. Unwrapping her cover revealed the desecrated corpse of her friend, now alive and desperate for food. Genevieve put her friend down and wept. This was how the world was now. Genevieve's mind was not pieced together well, but she had a newfound belief. Surely this was God's plan. He was punishing the world for their sins and only the true and just would survive to see the second coming and to enter the gates of Heaven. So Genevieve grabbed the gun she stole with some ammo, some provisions, and the Sword of Mercy that was housed in the central chamber, and left her home. She would travel, stomping out the blight placed on the world and help others come to terms with God's love. Genevieve was kind to them and offered them a place to sleep and rest, as well as what food she could provide, and they turned quickly. They wanted something more, something Genevieve was not willing to give. They attacked her, cutting her, and injuring her, but she fought them off, shooting one in the head with his own gun before turning on the other man and killing him as he fled.
