Silas was roused from his catnap by the all-too-familiar voice of one Missy Deschain. He couldn’t really tell what she was screaming about, just that he needed to get up and ready before someone came to break his door down. Literally. He’s pretty sure that Dee could smash through the thing like it was made of balsa wood. Reluctantly, he climbs out of bed and starts digging through his closet. As much as he wanted to venture downstairs in his current ensemble – a soft, woolen bathrobe with a pair of silk boxers underneath – there was no telling what other shenanigans would ensue later in the evening after the bonfire. They were in Miami, after all; anything could happen. That’s why it’s called the Magic City, right? Silas ends up pulling on the first thing he finds, which happened to be a pair of jeans, plus an old Hawaiian shirt that was so loud, hideous, and neon that it somehow looped back around to being chic again. It’s a little too big for him, though the sleeves are just long enough to hide the scars he had on his upper arms, and he can just tuck the front of it into his jeans, anyway. After that, it’s just a matter of combing the room for his countless rings, bracelets, knick-knacks… Oh, and making sure his hair doesn’t look like a dead cat, of course. It takes another fifteen minutes for Silas to fully recover from his zombie-like state, and by the time he gets downstairs, it seemed like most of the others were already settled in. Instead of saying hello, however, he makes a beeline straight for the kitchen because obviously, that’s where the booze is, and he’s not sure he wants to watch Bradley and Richie flirting with each other like a pair of lovesick puppies. ...Hold up, is that an unattended drink he sees? “Hey, it’s Lupe, right? D’you mind?” Silas points at the shot Lupe had set aside, then holds it up inquiringly. The question, however, soon proves to be a rhetorical one, as he downs the shot before the other even has a chance to answer. Hey, if she wasn’t going to drink it, why let perfectly good alcohol go to waste? Still, Silas can’t help but make a face as the shot burns all the way down his throat, eyeing the now-empty glass with disdain. God, just what the hell was in this? “I think you’ve got the right idea there. This tastes like shit.” Now, he’d said he wanted a drink, but he was thinking more along the lines of a nice malt scotch, not something that tasted like tarmac on a hot summer’s day. Then again, no one really drank alcohol for its taste, did they? Though he’d much rather get blackout drunk while keeping his tongue intact. Sidling over to Sonny, he lets himself lean against the counter, lips pressed into a teasing sort of smirk. “You got anything else? Some people still have, like, working taste buds, Sonny.” It’s out of the corner of his eye that Silas spots someone familiar. “Sunshine!” His expression breaks into a wide, artless grin, though quickly grows serious as he leans over to say to her in a stage whisper. “Please tell me you know where they’re keeping the good stuff. I think they’re actually trying to poison us with this.”
[/cell][/row][row][/row]
