He'd been terrified of falling off back then, as a horse couldn't be controlled nearly as much as a snowboard. As he climbed aboard Ayita uncertainly, he discovered that this discomfort of mounting equines hadn't diminished as he'd grown older. Either that or it was the other external factors coming into play... the fact that it was Ayita and not an actual horse, the literal race against time as they fought to make it to Jakobsen's office before it was too late, or simply his close proximity to Allison and the embarrassment of holding onto her middle as tightly as he could to ensure he didn't fall off. As they came to a stop, Charlie noticed that Richard seemed to have had an even more uncomfortable journey. Stumbling a bit as he dismounted, Charlie gazed up at the campaign building, running a hand through his windswept hair. "Any bets on if they'll let us just walk in?" He asked the group. It sounded far-fetched in this moment, and certainly would had held a lot more weight if it had been announced before the whole pregnancy interruption. Jakobsen had no reason to believe her, and Nina doubted she had proof. Looking dubiously as Jakobsen, she wondered what his next step would be. Kick them all out and deal with them later? Or address his mutant issue at it's source while they were trapped like animals in his building? Whichever option arose, Nina just hoped that someone else's plan was actually going to work here.
