NPC Character "A Dark Elf vagrant who is disturbed by how things are in the world. She believes power is what will help you make real change in that world." Name: Faire Argalare Origin: New World Appearance: How a normal human would view this character: Race: Dark Elf Gender: Female Alignment: 50 Bio/Lore: Originating from the Dark Elf country in the far southern forests, Faire has come a long way, both geographically and personally, to arrive in Norden. The original intent was wanderlust, something born out naivety and optimism from the world outside the forests. There was a hope that there was a potentially better place for her somewhere as she believed she never fit in with her kin and in addition, wasn't comfortable with being considered Dark Elven royalty. Her status had lead to expectations and protocol that she had to follow, caging her up rather than being true to herself. The final 'push' to leave came after her surviving parent died, her siblings squabbled bitterly ruining any positive experiences she had with them from that point on. It was better to leave it all behind. Initially, Faire was amazed by some of the things outside home but it wasn't long until she drifted into slavery territory. Humans, at least in some countries, had permitted slavery of elves and this very fact had lead to numerous attempts on Faire's capture and life. It soured her impression but she pressed on, finding her enthusiasm for the world fleeting every day. It wasn't just that slavery was permit-able but it was beginning to dawn on her that the world was filled with people clinging to petty statuses, leading to oppression which lead to individuals being simply satisfied with mediocrity. It wasn't at all how Faire pictured the world but now that she had experienced the reality, she wanted to change it. Faire had spent most of her wandering days as a hire-able adventurer or mercenary, using her advanced skill in blade and magic to provide her an edge. However, it was clearly obvious she wasn't in any position to make real change in the world. She needed more strength and power but there was little opportunity to lurch forward in that regard. It was likely she'd be old by the time she had developed enough experience to be truly impactful. It was rumors of Norden Immortals and the possibilities that drew Faire to travel north. There was a chance to make real change and she was going to seize it. Build Character Level: 28 Job Class: Fighter/Spellsword Strengths and Weaknesses: Generally speaking, Faire has no advantage in just her sword skills or just her magic abilities. If restricted to one form, she is likely to struggle against equally leveled opponents or slightly lower leveled opponents. However, pairing her magic and sword abilities in tandem will present herself at her highest capabilities. Additionally, Faire's fighting style has often been compared to a "quick burn" aggressive style, using speed and an array of offensive maneuvers early in a fight. Without having a deep mana reserve, she's liable to exhaust her spell power early in a fight, the advantage is having a powerful and quick offense early, however. Equipment/Abilities: Tiered Magic 3rd: Mostly offensive spells, Faire also has a few buffs to supplement her aggressive offensive style Ring of Barkskin: Grants the wearer tougher skin, granting extra durability against physical attacks but with the drawback of being more vulnerable to fire. Ring of Thorns: Returns a small portion of the physical damage Faire receives back to the attacker Sword of the Silver Sun: Along with providing the advantages of being made out of a tempered silver, this sword provides the ability of the [Silver Flash] an active ability that is usable 3 times a day. It emits a blinding flash to blind opponents (and everyone else) who views it.
