After the destruction of Dalaran, with his new mind - he rallied other gnolls like him and retreated to the Alterac Mountains.
Chiefdom The Glowbark Tribe has only recently formed, with much confusion, the current Chief has agreed - incase of his demise, that the choice be taken by the eldest and wisest gnolls in the tribe. Capital City Ruins of Alterac City Primary Race Gnolls Recent History Before there was the Glowbark Tribe - they were simply another pack of gnolls roaming the rural and mountains areas around Dalaran. No more than a pest, and in some cases simply experiments for the local wizards and mages. When the undead attacked Dalaran, the gnolls didn't know any better. They would attack and be attacked, not knowing any better - being usually left to rot, by the humans or risen as another mindless ghoul for the undead. Things changed, when the Scourge managed to summon Archimonde into the world. Once the Eredar destroyed Dalaran, the Legion unwittingly also aided the gnolls in the area. As Dalaran was destroyed, much of the magical energy was gone with it - either exploding or dissipating around the surrounding area, contaminating it. While in usual cases, it would lead to nothing but more dead - it had a different effect on a pack of gnolls. Namely, their fur and bodies were covered in arcane dust - although instead of killing them, it improved upon them. Their intelligence increasing almost three times than before - while also 'glowing' due to the dust coating their fur for many months later. Although, their new intelligence lacked any reason and they didn't much change - being only much more lethal and efficient in their fighting ways. That was until, one Gnoll arrived. The gnoll in question, spoke and thought. Despite being no stronger than any other gnoll, he had an innate ability to bark. Whether due to smarts, or due to dust itching up his mouth and nose - his bark, sounded much more scarier and tougher than any gnoll had ever heard. Chief 'Bark-Bark' as he was called soon got the gnolls thinking and turning their new minds from fighting to survival. As it was - undead were scary, undead feasted on dead, undead killed strong mages, undead would soon come after gnolls - thus gnolls need to flee to safety. Thus, the Glowbark Tribe was born and led by Chief Bark-Bark evacuated into the Alterac Mountains. On the way, Chief Bark-Bark was visited by an Earth Elemental - despite being a mere stone, compared to true Elementals - the spirit took interested in the new gnoll leader. Thus, the Glowbark Tribe was granted their first step into shamanism - true shamanism at that. Under Chief Bark-Bark, they settled into the Alterac Mountains - managing to rest away control from the Syndicate, their numbers having been devastated after the Scourge had passed through lands in their initial invasion of Dalaran. Despite this, their nature remained calm and collected - they weren't like other gnolls, they were smarter, more talkative and more hygienic even. They have even started using scavenged human weaponry as their own - so much so, are they different - that they see other gnolls as dumb and violent.
