Daniel and Indigo woke to the smell of stew. Well, it wasn't the stew that woke them exactly. That job belonged to the pans that Joan were banging together. [b]"Wakey wakey! I made breakfast!"[/b] 

This was the earliest Daniel or Indigo had been woken since their journey began. One would expect them to be frustrated, but at the same time, what sane traveler says no to free food?

A few feet away, Joan's Pokemon were yawning and eating their Poke food with closed eyes. There were two of them: a Cherubi, a Hoppip, and a Buneary. They too were woken by Joan's zealous excitement.
