A long nose and full lips. She stands at an average height- around 5'10, with an attractive athletic build. Her eyebrows are very expressive- usually one is raised quizically, or both are furrowed when in deep concentration. For clothes, Lauren prefers to wear cut tank tops that usually ride up to show some of her midriff- she never bothers to adjust her tops. Comfortable leggings that prevent catching and allow freedom of movement, usually black, commonly tuck into sneakers and running shoes. A leather strap wraps diagonally across her chest to keep her rifle holster in place, and a belt is tight around her waist for a handgun holster. PERSONALITY Lauren is not amiable or friendly- though she often takes a non-serious and joking tone in her voice, her words often contradict this by being cutting, mean, and sometimes downright cruel. Human life has no innate value to her- she would kill if it was effective to achieve her goals, which rarely include making friends and peacekeeping. Besides the leader of Toxo, she considers herself superior to other people, and the pain of others does not make her squeamish and she even enjoys inflicting it upon her enemies. Lauren is not insane, or sick, or mentally unstable. This is just how she is. Her worldview is what most would consider corrupted, though she believes herself to be enlightened. Survival of the fittest is her motto. Like a wolf, she preys on the weak and the sick and leaves her own weak and sick behind. In these trying times there must be no dead weight. People die for honor. Paradoxically, however, Lauren has found herself inexplicibly loyal to the leader of the Toxo.. Strong leadership appeals greatly to Lauren, and the betrayal of this particular person is not even an option- not even a thought. Her servitude to the leader is an absolute truth in her world lacking of morality. Laura also has an affinity for domesticated dogs- one of the few lifeforms she has respect and caring for though she would not let anyone find out about it. Contrary she has a complete disregard for any other forms of animal life and has a disturbing hatred of house cats. HISTORY Lauren was not a rule-breaking citizen. If civilization never collapsed, she would have gone her whole life an average, run of the mill accountant at a large financial company. A liberal, gun-owning American with few close friends but with no enemies. Lauren only followed the rules because it made sense too. She saw criminal activity as futile in a world completely dominated by police. She was content to live out her life as a quiet cog in the machine of corporate America. Her parents divorced when she was very young, and she was passed between them, and she didn't mind- though she preferred the company of her lackadaisal father. Lauren drifted between groups of close friends- aquaintance to many but friends to none. Talking to Lauren, one would consider her, quite frankly, boring, but nice enough. She made no attempts at increasing her 'social status.' She was content to keep to herself, and kill cats when no one was looking. She did meet a boy in middle school- Mohammed. A handsome young man who seemed determined to get to know her better, whether it be out of physical attraction or curiousity. Either way, when she was with Mohammed she found herself to have quite the sense of humour. The things she would say made them both laugh- and she was glad to know it. They drifted apart after high school but she didn't mind, and she glad to know that if one really got to know her, she could make them laugh. Thus she started to include casual jokes in her toolkit. But when society collapsed, it no longer made sense to be a push over. It made sense to Lauren to establish herself as a dominant force, it made sense for the decency and outdated morality of the old world to be tossed out and replace it with the...practical. She sees herself as practical, even though she does want to have "fun" from time to time. She found herself liking it in the new world. While she had no lust for power before, the 'adventure' of it all was intriguing. Exacting violence upon the infected was fun, and it was only a matter of time before she joined Toxo and found a place there. Indeed, the leader of Toxo, without even needing to try, has Lauren's complete and utter loyalty. SKILLS Athletic, co-ordinated, skilled with a rifle. WEAPONS Bolt action hunting rifle, revolver, home-made spears for zombies. OTHERS The reason she likes dogs is because she once heard her dad say that dog's are "man's best friends." She then read that wild wolves were the first animal humanity domesticated and helped humans survive during the ice age, when what she believed as a time where only the strongest survived. She hates cats because she read a steady about how cats have a pheromone that reduces fear in mice, making it easier to catch. The author of the article posited that this also applies to humans, and explains why they have become domesticated despite the fact they serve little purpose. Lauren also believes that cats are inferior to dogs, and that everything dogs can do cats can do better. Don't worry, it rarely comes up.
I want Lauren to be a villian character. Hoping to be the antagonist in someone else's story. She's obviously very unlikeable, and in a way, her world view does sustain the survival of humanity, but in other ways it dooms it. I also want to make it so she isn't "insane", or mentally ill. She's just got a whacko world view. Evil people in real life most of the time aren't mentally ill, you know? Like terrorists don't have schizophrenia, they just believe they are doing the right thing, simple as that. They're wrong, but they that's what they believe and you aren't convincing them otherwise. If there's anything wrong with my CS, obviously let me know. I'm rusty. I can ditch this character if you want too but I was hoping to play an evil character to contrast some of the last hopes of humanity
