Howdy folks, my name's Byz and I've been roleplaying for a sizable chunk of my life. As a wee lad I whetted my whistle on the chatrooms of yore, saving everything from villages to star systems all in 300 characters or less. I eventually graduated to forums and even found a few places willing to tolerate an old codger like me. Honestly, looking back, the most fun I had on the web was on those places.

Times changed though. Had a bad spell that ended with me in the hospital for a while. By the time I'd came back and put my life into a reasonable facsimile of what it was before, most of those old haunts of mine were gone. Lost a lot of good friends, few pet characters too. It took the "oomph" out of writing, and eventually I just fell out of it.

Well, this is me falling back in, or at least trying to. I'm rusty as hell, I know, but I'm hoping that I can ease back into things and perhaps make some new friends in the process. Considering it took me all of two months to get up the gumption to write a simple introductory post, I don't think much of my chances. But hey, first step's always the hardest, right?
