Compared to Madame Blavatsky, who came up with things like "Mahatma" and "Lemurian Continent" to describe her unusual magecraft abilities, Andrei simply writes it off as "some stuff that happens sometimes." Andrei gives off the vibe of a totally casual guy who shuns the snooty mages of the association, and his regard for human life is a fair bit higher than normal for a mage, with his usual attitude to those in danger being "I'll put in a totally normal amount of effort to help you out!" He can't stand stagnancy in those around him, so he'll sometimes challenge their ideas and push them out of their comfort zones for what he sees as their own good. The sort of person who would give up everything just to kick back on the porch with a lemonade, but then demand it all back the next day because he can't stop thinking about going to a rainforest. Bio: The two-bit mage house of Ozhidani only gained any attention from the greater magic community in the 1800s, when it became common knowledge that theirs was the only magus family whose blood was in the ancestry of the exceptional and much maligned Madame Helena Blavatsky. That heretical woman, who had been born from a non-magus family inexplicably with never-before-seen mutant magic circuits, had extreme natural talent in magecraft, only being held back from greatness due to her nonsensical ideas and hatred for mainstream mages. Therefore, while they shunned their connection with her during her life, they immediately snapped up all her magical possessions and research after her death and went about trying to save their declining bloodline by triggering another such mutation. They followed in Madame Blavatsky's footsteps, with each generation travelling to new lands and mirroring different aspects of her life in an effort to recreate her circuits. The arts of the Ozhidani were continually weakened as family heads tried introducing incompatible magecraft foundations in an effort to trigger the family's "latent versatility." Somehow, these nonsensical efforts paid off, and in Egypt in 2010 a baby was born into the family with abnormal circuits that seemed to reflect definite progress towards the state they were seeking. This was Andrei Ozhidani. The Ozhidanis had gone so off the rails at this point, however, that rather than announce his birth to the mage community and celebrate their family's new bright future, they all agreed that Andrei's uncle Pete should take him off to the American southwest in order to "find his true self." After the pair left, the Ozhidani went right back to doing what they had been doing. Andrei and Pete spent most of their time living in trailer parks in Arizona. Andrei studied magecraft when it suited him, but Uncle Pete emphasized the importance of "real life skills" and "wholesomeness of the spirit." The pair would cook up whatever fun activity came to mind, give a hundred and ten percent in doing it, and then begin scrounging up cash for the next one. When these red marks appeared on Andrei's hand, he asked around until he found out why, then left Uncle Pete at a motel and headed for Montana.
Magic Circuit Switch: The sound of a ray-gun firing. Number of Magic Circuits: C Quality of Magic Circuits: A Origin: Change Elemental Affinity: Average One Crest: About 300 years old, but it keeps deteriorating due to bad decisions. If it's a simple matter of keeping people out, detecting intruders, and hiding, Andre can set up an exemplary barrier in no time. With preparation, it's possible to make more advanced barriers that do things like physically prevent objects from passing through. He has equal affinity in regards to locating and dismantling boundaries. "The Blavatsky Mutation": A quality of Andrei's magic circuits similar to what manifested in Helena Blavatsky in the 19th century. Compared to her ability, which allowed her to make unrestricted use of all magecraft schools ingrained into the world, Andrei enjoy a much more unreliable variant. When he attempts to grant himself magecraft knowledge, a random check is performed, with results ranging from "complete failure to learn the magecraft in question" to "absolute mastery." The result remains for the rest of the day before disappearing, at which point another check can be attempted on that form of magecraft. Various factors may affect the check, but the results of previous checks will not. While all granted magecraft knowledge fades after a 24 hour period, the fruits of that knowledge remain, so one could expertly draw runestones or raise a zombie, and those things would still be fully useable at any time in the future. Once a type of magecraft has been gained, it is possible through a large chant and ritual to attempt to invoke extremely high-powered spells from ancient times. The benefits of succeeding would be massive, but the margin for failure is usually very large, depending on how successful the initial check to learn the magecraft in question was. Upon failure, the spell might backfire, do nothing, or do something completely out of left field.

$230 USD: Just normal money. After her death the Ozhidani family quickly grabbed it. It has deteriorated a bit over the years, but remains an excellent vehicle and weapon that absolutely outclasses anything that can be made with modern technology. Uncle Pete let Andrei drive it for the first time when he was 10, so he's quite a master at this point. Although its origins are unknown, it has a number of valuable features. The entire ship is powered by a magical energy reactor. If a magus is allowed to interact with the controls for an extended period, they may be able to form a link with it, allowing for energy to be obtained independent of the land. The power source is essentially a perpetual motion machine, but the rate of generation is limited, so by taking power for other matters the effectiveness of the saucer may suffer. It is airtight and has an oxygen recycling system. One might enjoy a trip into the deep sea, but it would not stand up to the wear and tear of space, shockingly. It is equipped with high-power weaponry. Allowing for a bombardment of lasers that a modern magus could not possibly match with their personal magecraft. It has a tractor beam, allowing for objects below the saucer to be pulled upwards and into a secure holding area. It has a "cloaking device" that can hide it pretty well from the naked eye and most other nonmagical modes of detection, but does nothing to mask magical energy. It is exceptionally durable. The material it is composed of is something unknown that even seasoned alchemists seem unable to analyze. It is resistant to the elements and even mighty attacks of Servants may result in less than complete penetration. It otherwise comes equipped with various things one would expect from a millitary-grade futuristic vehicle that also functions as a home, such as lights, loudspeakers, and a fridge.
