Calien is pretty easy to get along with. No matter who you are, she’ll gladly hang out, or smoke with you, or hook you up with someone who’s got good weed. She’s quiet and kind of introverted, but very friendly when you talk to her. Spending time with her is a laid-back affair; she’s happy to just talk, play video games, or get high. Despite her low-intensity nature, she can absolutely go off talking forever if the topic is something she’s passionate about, like music or anime.

You may not notice after meeting her once or twice, but Calien is kind of an enigma. She rarely talks about her life outside of school, doesn’t have any close friends, and doesn’t invite anyone over. This has led to plenty of theories spread around about her personal life, none of them either confirmed or denied. She just never really talks about herself. She’s the kind of person nearly everyone knows of, but no one really [i]knows[/i].

[color=f8f8ff]↬[/color] She’s not out to anyone [i](as gay or as trans)[/i]. It’s kind of easy to guess but she’ll deny it to the death.
[color=f8f8ff]↬[/color] She has a huge love for anime, manga, J-dramas, and Japanese culture in general. She attends conventions as much as time and budget allows, and she’s even trying to learn Japanese so she can visit eventually.

Androgynous is the operative word when describing Calien’s looks. She looks like the exact midpoint between a guy and a girl, basically. She’s not particularly short or tall, with a thin, lanky build and soft, youthful features. She has pale skin with scattered dark freckles. Her eyes and hair are both dark brown, but her hair is bleached nearly white and dyed pastel pink. Her hair is cut short and has a wavy texture.

Wardrobe-wise, she dresses very simply; sweaters, skinny jeans, bomber jackets, beanies, t-shirts [i](usually with band or anime logos)[/i], etc. She almost always wears neutral colors or earth-tones. The brightest colors you’ll usually see her wear are part of the designs on her shirts; everything else will generally be black, grey, olive green, or the occasional dark red. She's also got piercings in both ears and her nose.

For a good portion of her life, Calien was a pretty normal kid, if a bit introverted. Really, the biggest problem she had to deal with was the fact that, back then, she was a he. She never really felt like she related to the boys she knew, and being called a boy didn’t feel quite right. She pretty much ignored her feelings until she was in middle school, when she learned that being transgender was a thing. Suddenly, it all made sense.

Unlike what one might expect, after making this discovery about herself, Calien only withdrew more. While she was more confident in who she was inside, anxiety about her social life only grew. This anxiety led her to avoid building relationships deeper than the surface level. That leaves out dating completely, of course. Her plan is to wait until she’s publicly out of the closet before trying to get close to anyone.

Her home life, again, she keeps a secret, but it may have been part of the reason for the death of her social life. Why else would she be so cagey about it, right?
