Pretty sure he left them on Shem’ets hands, so yes you can find them easily. As for the rolls you can tell that aside from his caution the orc genuinely does want to just gather the herbs and back back to town ASAP.

As for the survival check, best you can tell is that Jarynth seemed to have headed further east perhaps, heading towards where a river does current exist. It’s a bit away from the dry riverbed you’re suppose to be searching Iron Sand for however.
