It's working now and hm...well, if it makes some sort of visible effect, it would be possible to evade it, so that's fine by me, just add that to the description of the power. But if you kinda wanna mix it so it has physical contact, you could say she launches some kind of tendril which needs to make contact and can suck the energy. But again, that's mostly up to you.
