Regardless, home for Fae is wherever the Silver Wings are currently setting up shop. Occupation: A traveling performer of sorts, Fae never hesitates to put his experience putting on shows to get some food on the table, although he is also known to moonlight as an apothecary should an opportunity present itself. Class: Archer Gender: Male Deity: While not particularly the devout sort, Oschon is the one deity Fae feels any true connection with, as in his words the rest are far too stuffy for his taste. Sexual Orientation: Bisexual Appearance: With a baby face and a shorter than average height for an Elezean at 6’5”, Fae is commonly mistaken for being much younger than he truly is. He keeps his unruly, auburn hair mostly restrained in a ponytail and possesses a pair of rather striking blue eyes and rather thin lips that are almost perpetually quirked into a mischievous half grin. Some would say that he takes the starving artist joke a bit too seriously with his thin frame, but the truth is that years of practicing acrobatics and traveling by foot have given him a body comprised of almost entirely lean muscle and has done wonders for keeping his complexion nicely tanned. Upon the left side of his neck lies a tattoo of his troupe’s titular silver wings, a mark that Fae wears with pride. Personality:
Quick to smile and with an unshakable sense of wanderlust, Fae initially comes off as your typical minstrel, complete with a flair for the dramatic and near endless supply of self-confidence. But underneath his cordial nature and incessant attempts at being charming dwells an inquisitive mind that is always seeking new and more interesting things to keep itself amused. To be blunt, this facet of Fae’s personality is inherently a selfish and results in just about all of his decisions being linked back to this desire to constantly find the next object of his interest, be it a new subject, skill, or person. That’s not to say that he’s a bad person by any stretch of the imagination though. Because even in spite of seeing some of the worse sides of humanity throughout his journey, Fae has maintained his optimistic view that there is good in everyone and experiences genuine joy when he manages to tease a smile out of someone. But at the same time, he’s also not an altruistic good samaritan as he was taught from a young age to never work for free, monetarily or otherwise. And consequently, Fae detests the idea of owing anybody and closes out all of his perceived debts as quickly as possible.
Biography:
From as far back as he can remember, Fae has always been surrounded by music and laughter. This should come as little surprise considering he literally grew up with the Silver Wings, a traveling troupe of moderate renown across the Black Shroud. His parents, known in the troupe as the Luhenuet Duet, hadn’t planned on Fae coming along, but always regarded him affectionately as their little surprise. Growing up with the Silver Wings hardly provided a traditional or stable environment for the child, but it was a place that provided him with more than enough love and exposed him to a great number of cultures and new ideas. Most importantly to Fae though, the various troupe members were always happy to help teach the ever curious lad new things. Be it juggling, archery, or even the basics of alchemy, Fae took to learning like a chocobo to running. And although the only skill that he truly mastered was the singing that he inherited from his parents, Fae has a rudimentary knowledge of a downright frightening number of things. If things had gone differently, it would have been all too easy for Fae to spend his entire life with the Silver Wings. But when the Calamity all but tore the world apart, it became more and more difficult for him to stay. The troupe had emerged from the crisis largely unscathed, but as they traveled and Fae saw the damage that it had wrought firsthand, he realized that there were far too many things outside of the Black Shroud that could disappear from this world without him even realizing it. The thought proved to be too much for him to bear, so at the age of twenty the young man left the familiarity of the forest for the first time in his life. In the four years since, Fae has miraculously managed to not get himself killed. After a rough start getting acquainted with traveling alone, the Elezean eventually made his way all the way down to Limsa Lominsa by the time he was twenty-three. The city state quickly proved to be worth the travel though, as boats brought in new people to keep him entertained. Before he knew it, Fae realized that a year had passed him by, making it by far his longest stay in any one location. Wanting to make up for lost time, he set his sights on Ul’dah and set out to find what other curious things awaited him there.
Other Information: Fae is a chronic hummer. And when he isn’t humming, he is almost certainly plucking away at his lute.
