The guy just walked up to their home out of nowhere, and started asking kind of personal questions. Even if you are some big shot scientist, shouldn't you prove who you are before you start asking things like whether or not you have super powers or something. Jason was just thinking about how best to answer the guy's questions, he could just tell him to go away and slam the door in his face, but he also knew that Janelle was a little too nice and probably wouldn't let him do that. The man didn't seem like too bad of a person to her, but then again, since she couldn't see the world a lot of people tended to call her naive since she couldn't actually see anything bad that happened to the world. Of course, in response to that comment, she tended to respond with Trust me, I'd rather see the horrible things that happen in the world than just hear them. There were ways she could technically "see" though, using her imagination she could think of the world however she wanted. She heard Quinn's voice and jumped slightly, her head moving as if to look around behind her. There shouldn't be anyone else in the room, or anyone else in the house in general aside from her and her brother. Maybe she had just imagined the voice, and it was from the TV or something that got left on when they had gone to the door or something, but she didn't remember it being left on. None of this was really making any sense to her, so she just turned back around and said nothing. Jason saw Quinn, and heard her words, so it was obvious that she was surprised to be there or something. After a moment, he thought that it might be like what had happened before when he and Janelle had met Cynthia, they had randomly appeared in her office out of nowhere. It was the only possible explanation he could think of, so he went back to paying at least some attention to Trevor. "Why do you ask that?" he asked the man, still not sure whether or not he trusted him.
