Full name: Booker Verne 

Gender: male 

Age: 19

Physical description: about 6’1, 180 pounds. Lanky, with a curling shock of red hair that he tries desperately to hide. His Hands are permanently dyed black, fingernails bitten to nubs. Wears a tool belt, common mechanic garb and most notoriously, an ancient gas mask that provides a filter and protection from the elements for his eyes and face. 

Personality: enthusiastic energetic, without even a hint of Pessimism. Booker takes most things in stride and has such an optimist viewpoint most see him as a total lunatic. That being said, when in stressful or dangerous situations flashes of anger or annoyance can break through his positive facade at times. 

Backstory: Booker H. Verne was born in the crumbling town of Skyhook, a quirky town in of itself. Most of the towns and villages  had fled with the onset of large and frequent earthquakes, shaking the humble valley to its core. However skyhook adapted, and with that adaption came the progression that gave the town its name. Without any stable land for docks, mechanics and engineers were forced to become dangerous “flyers” hovering with cables next to airships and conducting speedy repairs on the exterior of the blimps. Booker was raised for the job and his obsession with any and all flying ships made him a perfect fit. Though he was perfectly happy with his work, a time came when he realized that his skills could preform better in the middle of the action,  skill set which few other competing mechanics could offer. And so he set out with nothing but his suspension cords, shotgun and a pocketful of dit to seek his fortune.

Description: booker is an extremely enthusiastic and supportive mechanic, over eager to preform the most dangerous and risky jobs without even a second thought. His unique skill set gives him an advantage over most engineers, a fact that he enjoys to no end. He is rarely serious and prefers to keep things light, though in the heat of battle he can become short tempered.

Skills: Booker can make general repairs to the hull or other exterior systems of a blimp, usually during battle or flight. Generally he gets along quite well with people, especially when doing the suicidal jobs that no one else wants to or can do. He is extremely well balanced and capable when scaling the hull of a ship, and is proficient with short range combat like shotguns and blunt weaponry. 

Quirks: some people find Booker to be off putting due to his positive mindset, and he absolutely hates being disturbed on given advice while working. He is a bit too liberal with the use of his shotgun, and is notorious for discovering he is fresh out of shells DURING a heated battle. 

Other: he carries with him a tool belt filled with all of the necessary items and other such mechanic tools, a rucksack of cool scavenge he collects and finds, and his double barrel shotgun, dubbed “slickback”. Although Booker always has the gas mask around his neck, he will rarely have it on unless in battle or making repairs.
