Gin couldn't help but feel both disgust and rage for his old friend. Indeed, to a man like Gin, who dedicates everything he has in order to protect his loved ones, an act of betrayal like this was the worst possible crime one could commit, no matter what the circumstances. "Yeah? Well, I'm sure he thinks what you're doing is lame..." Gin was breathing slowly, keeping his composure as he prevented himself from lashing out at the Lyaeus. He needed to keep calm, to remain grounded. If he allowed his emotions to fully take over, then it would surely mean the end of everyone. In other words, Gin needed to keep his cool so that everyone else is able to stay cool... and surely enough, the Beast's next attack against him would be an affront to his beliefs themselves. "... You can strike down my body, my mind, and my soul, but like hell will I allow you to break what's in my heart!" Moving quickly, Gin placed a hand on his glasses as he began to focus. He needed to ensure that his glasses didn't break, believing the best course of action was to strengthen its own force of providence. Firstly, he crushed the Shikigami under his control all at once, restoring a little more than a quarter of his life force into himself before transferring the life force that had been used for his previous Shikigami into his glasses, making sure to only use that amount before cutting the line before his own life force could be drained further. Effectively, Gin turned his glasses into a Shikigami, albeit with a much stronger existence than his previous Shikigami had. Then, he stretched his other hand, pointing it to the ground as he began to channel the vast misfortune accumulated within the hot springs, converting that misfortune into fortune by utilizing his Irezumi. Gin transferred that converted energy into his glasses, empowering them further, filling them with some of the immense grudges contained within the land from the countless human lives lost to that cursed fire, turning them into an accumulation of their hopes and dreams. Thirdly, Gin began to copy some of his own self into his glasses, placing everything that made him human within them; his convictions and beliefs. His anger and motivation. His hopes and fears. Most importantly, however, Gin transferred his own stubborn unyielding resolve, the determination he has as a man to overcome all seemingly insurmountable odds, his own ability to defy fate into his glasses. And last of all, Gin hollered a rallying cry, both to his shades as well as to everyone fighting alongside him... "We are bound together not by chains or obligations, but a universal belief to live on as our own selves! As humans, we will continue to fight for what we believe is our own freedom, not one imposed by the likes of a beast! We shall fight to remain as our own selves! YAKUZA, ASSEMBLE!" Whether Gin's shades would grow its own pair of glasses, evolve into a greater form, or just explode was beyond him... so long as his heart remains unbroken, he will continue to stand tall, shouldering whatever consequences his actions may entail.
