A once shining example of mankind, a champion of justice brought low due to the guilt of his sin. As far as Master-Servant relationships go, he will do what his Master wishes by the letter as a means of atoning for his selfish actions. Because of this mentality, he has the mindset of “always putting the wishes of others before himself.” Houyi’s wish is to erase himself from the Throne of Heroes, as he believes he does not belong within the ranks of mankind’s greatest. It is why he has taken such an unsightly form.

The heroic archer deity who descended from the heavens to serve mankind. Among his feats, his most famous was possibly the shooting of the nine suns. A selfless god who denied his own divinity in order to save mankind from various threats, fighting off demons and monsters with his legendary prowess with the bow, Houyi was a true hero who fought only for mankind's survival...

Until he found out he was betrayed by his own nephew...

Until his wife had ascended to the heavens without him...

Until he was forbidden from visiting the moon and seeing his beloved...

In an act of selfish rage, this Houyi from a now doomed world performed his first and final selfish act:

At higher ranks, it is also possible to remain in the world for an extended amount of time without an established contract. This skill seems to appear ranked incorrectly from its true rank, due to the meddling of "someone else." While this skill should be at a much higher rank, Houyi's rank appears unbecoming of his legend, serving as "some sort of metaphor."

Class skill of the Knight classes. Grants protection against magical effects. Differing from the Resistance effect that merely rejects magical energy, this ability cancels the spells altogether. Cancels spells with a chant below three verses. Even if targeted by High-Thaumaturgy and Greater Rituals, it is difficult for them to be affected.

The measure of one's aptitude as a Divine Spirit. Those who have reached A-Rank Divinity or above have attained true divinity. Rank declines when one's status as a Monster or Demonic Beast raises, as well as from one's dislike of the gods. While Houyi had a place in the Throne of Gods at one point, his rank should be far lower after descending from the throne. For some reason, however, he seems to have this skill at an astoundingly high rank. Details unknown.

A skill unique to Houyi's existence as the God of Archery who, after becoming a mortal, brought low all matter of fantastical adversaries with his marksmanship, alone. A skill a few steps away from an authority, allows one to fire arrows from a bow that could be considered "absurd" in power, even for a Heroic Spirit of the Archer class. Details unknown. 

[b]Affections of the Moon Goddess(?)[/b]: ?
A skill granted to one whose adored by the Moon. Because of the love from his wife, the Moon Goddess Chang'e, Houyi enjoys a multitude of blessings granted from her. The nature of these blessings are currently unknown, though Houyi is capable of accomplishing feats such as masking his identity and seeing things farther than he normally could at night. The reason why he has this skill, despite shooting the moon down and dooming his world, is unknown. Perhaps Chang'e's love for the hero is capable of seeing past his greatest flaws?
