[@A Lowly Wretch] I understand your point but if he'd already stated that he was affected by the hurricane a week ago, he could still be dealing with the aftermath of that a week later. We don't know his current situation or where he was able to access the internet two days ago. Could it be likely that he moved to somewhere safer and is currently back home cleaning up?

I get that people are eager to play, I want to start as soon as possible too. But I don't think we should dismiss the likelihood of these real life factors being the cause of the delay. The polite thing to do in this situation is to wait it out. Give it a week at most before discussing the idea of starting another RP. A little patience never hurt anyone.
