I'm a peculiar case because I didn't get into the caped crusaders until a little independent film called [i]Spider-Man[/i] sent me down that rabbit hole. (I mean, like any 90s kid, I had been exposed to the Spider-Man and X-Men animated series -- didn't see as much of the DC stuff -- but it didn't really "take" until Raimi's film hooked me.) No, my childhood superheroes were these nerds:
