He held it in his hands for a moment, before slipping them into his pocket. He was very surprised to be told they'd be getting down time. That didn't sound like the type of thing he'd thought they'd ever be given as Paradoxes, thinking they were here for the exclusive purpose of helping the Emendators and saving time. But he wasn't gonna complain. The much more concerning thing was what happened next. Though the conversation was literally Greek to him, he picked up on the fact that Evelina was missing, and that was enough to worry them. He looked over to Faith when she spoke up, and almost audibly cringed. He understood her frustration, but keeping quiet through this might be the best thing for them. This was confirmed by Giosue's reply to her, and Alicia's continued reprimanding. He was about fine with all of this, expecting as much. However, Nancy's comments borderline made him angry, and definitely terrified. He couldn't believe Nancy would go as far to threaten Faith for speaking out like that. He was smarter than to let this control him though, knowing that publicly voicing concern at The Cards would end very, very badly for him. This only strengthened his conviction that he should talk to her and Alex. This at least confirmed that whatever went down, it wasn't pleasant. He feared Faith wouldn't show his restraint however, and kept his eyes in her direction, making a "keep calm" motion with his hands. He decided he was going to wait for the Emendators to clear the room before he would go about his own business. He wanted to pick up anything he could about the Dice's disappearance. If Eve couldn't be found, he didn't know what they'd do. If he understood correctly, she was the one that made Paradoxes in the first place. He figured she could handle herself, and that she was in all probability fine, but the idea of her not being fine was something that made him very worried.
