He couldn’t help but smile as Ryan patted him on the back. Somehow, Ryan’s words both lessened and heightened his nerves at the same time. It was finally a sign that Reya was actually interested in him, but kind of put the pressure on, worrying that he might somehow screw that up. The worries of an overthinker... Trying to get out of his own thoughts, Marcus turned his gaze to Victoria as she left to go to mingle with others, calling him and Reya good eggs. “Well, what an eggcellent compliment.” He joked, turning to Reya with a cheesy grin. Marcus started to chuckle as the Rei started to laugh hysterically, watching her as she wrapped her arm around Ryan’s neck, threatening him with being thrown in the bin. “God can’t help you now, Ryan.” Marcus quipped with a smirk, laughing as he watched the two of them. He knew there were probably the more “proper, polite” people looking at them weirdly, but he didn’t care so much. And he admired that Reya didn't seem to mind too much either. That was one of the things he liked about her. He felt like he could be his own weird self around her. As the siblings roughhoused, Marcus’ eyes started to wander over the art on showcase. It was good stuff. The artist was obviously very talented. Apparently with the V.I.P tickets that Reya bought, they would get to meet her, which intrigued Marcus. He enjoyed talking to other creative types, enjoying getting to know what fuels them, and what gets their creative juices flowing, and what motivates them. Although, he figured he wouldn’t be able to have that deep a conversation with her, he hoped he’d get to at least ask a question or two.
