She glanced up and saw the remnants of a fire pillowing up to the sky. It seemed there was a forest fire. As if Roy heard her, she felt the vibration on her phone and looked at the message. Roy knew about it, at least. She sent a reply, "Sounds good. Let me know if you need back-up." She put her phone back as a fire truck came barreling down the street. Now, Priya prided herself on being able to read people. She read Ryan pretty well. The man on the back of the truck though. The way he smiled...made her feel uneasy. Was he a fireman eager to help? Surely even Firemen weren't happy to be going to a fire. No his smile was more intense. As if he knew she was watching him. But what could she do? If the fire was being taken care of, that was it. But did it all connect? The footprints? The balloon? The mention of a clown? And the fire? Priya walked back to the Funeral Home and walked inside to where Ryan and Riley were. She didn't hear their conversation, but that was none of her business. "Roy texted. Tim will be picking us up in a bit to get to a hotel. Roy had to go to Chicago for something. Oh, and there's apparently a forest fire" Priya kept the man on the truck, the footprints (though perhaps Riley noticed them outside) and all else to herself. There was nothing there, yet, but Priya would be damned if she ignored it. But she would let Riley finish up with her sister first. It was the least she could do.
