Kojiro chuckled at his visitor as they fell from the shock of his introduction. A name soon followed, Colda, something very much alien to what he knew. Colda spoke briefly about himself and even went as far as to ask for help, presumably in repairing his merchant vessel. Unfortunately he was in the entirely wrong place if he wanted help with anything technical. [color=f7976a]"Well my boy unfortunately you appear to be out of luck...on the ship front at least. We don't do much at this dojo beyond train. Any sort of help with technology beyond changing a TV channel, then you'll need to head into one of the nearby cities."[/color] Before he could continue Sam emerged into view and greeted his master with a nod.

Sam eyed Colda up and down while trying to gauge him, all the while the child like cat person followed close behind throwing a tantrum. Kojiro smiled at his pupil and returned his gaze back to Colda. [color=f7976a]"This here is my pupil, Samanosuke...most just call him Sam though."[/color] With one final raise of his eyebrow, a plotting grin stretched across the old mans face. [color=f7976a]"My eyes are not quite what they used to be but there is one thing I can see clearly and that is the power inside of people."[/color] Kojiro stepped within a metre of the alien and the grin disappeared from his face to leave a look of pure sincerity. [color=f7976a]"I want you to spar with Sam. Full force...full contact. 100% effort. Something more powerful than anything I have ever felt before has just landed and we need to prepare as best we can. I can sense a strong power within you and if you help us defend our planet, then we will help in any way we can to restore your ship. Besides, if the planet is wiped out then there isn't much hope of you getting your ship fixed."[/color] 

Kojiro dove into his pockets and pulled out a small bag of senzu beans, something he'd gotten from Korin himself recently. They were good friends most of the time, it all depended on how their monthly poker game would go. [color=f7976a]"If you're concerned about injuries, don't be. In this bag are senzu beans and they can instantly restore a persons vitality and stamina."[/color] It was at this point Sam interjected. [color=6ecff6]"Colda was it? I will fight this threat alone if I have to but there would be no hope of success. I could maybe stall the enemy in the hope someone or something comes to save us, but that would require luck we don't have. We need powerful fighters and if Kojiro says you have strength, then you really do...even if you may not know it. Please consider it."[/color]

The petulant cries of the cat child continued as the adults spoke but they fell on deaf ears. Ignored and and becoming enraged, an orb of energy flew from the boys hand and headed towards the group. Sam turned to the incoming attack but before he could react Kojiro had leapt in front of it to swat it away. The ball of energy flew up into the sky and out of view. Kojiro quickly returned to his familiar pose of standing with his hands behind he back. He leant over, getting close to the face of the aggressive lad. [color=f7976a]"So...who might you be? That was quite some attack for one so small."[/color] Kojiro winked at the boy, joking at his small stature. 

Much like Colda, Kojiro had sensed a strong power within the boy. The attack he had parried was enough to turn the outside of his hand red so that alone was evidence enough. Even so, with the right motivation and master there wouldn't have been any reason the lad couldn't become one of the strongest beings on the planet. Given his clearly young age, Kojiro tried to manipulate him. [color=f7976a]"How would you like to train with me? Maybe I could even show you some really cool, flashy moves? I may be old but i've trained some of the best fighters this planet has ever seen...besides, I don't think you could defeat me anyway..."[/color]
