Drove out to Marco's Sunday to catch up with him. Things at FAU seem pretty chill.” He admitted to Sonny as Julie Macmillan made her way away from the two teenagers, leaving them to their conversation. Though Jun had to admit he was a little curious on what Sonny and Julie had been talking about given that, well, the Misfits and Julie’s friends were about as far away as Lady Gaga and Sunny Day Real Estate. The two camps would interact in classes occasionally, but at lunch? It posed a very interesting question, but then again it was Senior Year and everybody was kind of easing up on clique warfare. Still, he had only heard the tail end of the conversation. But what did Julie mean when she said people were wrong about Sonny? He discarded the thought for the moment; it wasn’t really his business. “What about you? You do anything cool Sunday?” Sonny had nothing significant to offer Jun, although he did give him a shrug. “Unfortunately, there wasn’t much for me to do. Drea did come to visit during the weekend from New York, so I had to deal with her annoying ass.” Sonny rolled his eyes, “but I guess it was nice seeing my sister. It’s been nearly half of a year. You remember her, right? She’s nearly a foot shorter than you but with a bigger mouth.” The comparison had Sonny bursting up into a fit of laughter. “Oh, yeah, sure. Has she discovered the idea of a haircut yet? I swear she was just like… all hair. Did I ever see her face?” Jun laughed himself, remembering the appearance of Sonny’s sister. “You’d think so, but she still has that mop she calls hair. On the upside, she decided to change things up by dyeing it all colors of the rainbow. Something about supporting her fellow unicorns - whatever that means,” he shrugged, looking at Jun. “In any case, if we talk about her more than we have, her ego will catch on and her head will explode. What’s up with you?” He asked Jun. Jun raised a brow, as if he wasn’t sure what he meant. Still, he decided to humor the response. Besides, it wasn’t like he had talked about things at home that were going on in awhile; or at least, not with Sonny of all people. “Just the usual at the Wang house. Dad’s breathing down my neck about college. Mom’s telling me I should intern at her firm. I’m thinking about taking a year off to think about it, but you know me, always the slacker.” ”Meanwhile at the Drake’s residence, dad is pretty much non-existent and mom pushing me to choose colleges. Just on Friday before Diabloser’s party, mom was down my throat again. ‘College’ this, ‘what are you going to do with your life’ that. Honestly, if it wasn’t for my job at Asgard Fitness and my own hobbies, I think I’d seriously consider offing myself,” Sonny, of course, joked. “Pffft. You’re not that much of a pussy.” Jun chuckled, using one of Sonny’s favorite words against him. “I just wish, that like, they’d ease off once in awhile. It’s not like we don’t think about it all the time. I mean, we’re seniors, not stupid.” Talk about unexpected. Sonny didn’t think he there was some similarities between him and Jun outside of being in the same group and matching each other with witty lines. “Just think of it like this: gives us more reason to make their lives hell for one more year.” Sonny joined Jun in another round of chuckles and laughs. “They piss us off, we piss them off.” ”I couldn’t agree more with you, Jun!” Sonny never thought he’d ever say that to Jun and actually mean it. “Of cours—” Before Jun could finish his sentence a loud commotion snapped his and Sonny’s attention away from their conversation. Sonny’s eyes followed where Jun’s had focused on. It wasn’t clear at first what exactly the cause of it was, it only took a few moments for them to realize exactly what it was. The sounds of loud banging from the parking lot and a voice so high and loud that both of them knew who it belonged to without thinking, it caused Sonny to stand to his feet. “That’s Marisol’s voice, right?” Sonny looked to Jun for a vocal confirmation. He knew it was her voice. There was no mistaking it, but this raised more questions than he had before. “C’mon, let’s check it out!” As Sonny gestured Jun to follow, a sense of curiosity filled the asian-american. Marisol had missed her classes and as far as he knew she was going to skip out on the whole day. A lingering thought crossed his mind about the text Archer had sent him that he had written off as Archer being melodramatic. As Sonny led him towards the sound of screaming and hushed gasps it was here that Jun realized Archer had not been melodramatic in the slightest. The day was definitely “ruined”, or at the very least it was ruined for a few specific people, namely Victoire Bailey. It was then and only then that Jun’s eyes looked to Sonny, though before the two could intervene a teacher had already done so and Marisol was already being dragged away from the scene by a faculty member as Victoire got to her feet and swiped her bag from her feet. “Fuck.” Was all Jun could manage. ”Fuck is right.” Sonny was speechless. What the actual fuck was wrong with Marisol? Last time he checked, she and Victoire had a mutual, if not neutral, hatred for each other. Marisol hated Vic and likewise from Vic’s side of things. So why on Earth did Marisol take a bat to Vic’s Mercedes? Sonny found himself looking to Jun for answers because he was at a loss. This was so unlike Mari. Sure, she was full of anger and energy, but going Carrie Underwood on someone’s car was way so far from in-character for her that she couldn’t even see how she normally acted. “She’s gotta be like… where the fuck is Archer?” Jun uttered, wondering where he could’ve been; because he certainly didn’t stop Marisol from going postal. “Shit, what are you looking at me for? I’m not his keeper,” he replied back to Jun. He couldn’t pull his eyes away from the sight of Marisol being hauled away from the scene of the crime by the large arms of one of the teachers of King’s. “I didn’t realize you forgot your phone in your troll cave.” ”Only my spare. I always keep one in my pocket in case I need to bother you,” Sonny retorted back. “I’m a lucky man.” Jun commented as he fumbled with his own phone, sending out a text to Archer. Where tf are you?
