Trixie had mentioned needed to ‘get ready,’ though he wasn’t exactly sure what she was getting ready for, and Owen had been sent to pick up their order while she did that. This wasn’t really a problem, he didn’t mind — she’d placed the order, and she’d paid, so hey. Saving thirty dollars was never a bad thing. The bad part was he had no idea what was waiting for him in the bags, but he trusted Trixie had ordered stuff he liked. No one forgot years of dating during a ‘break’ (that’s what Owen was calling it in his head now) that lasted two months. Owen opened the door to the Locke house without much issue. It was nice to be able to walk in here without being glared at, or without it being not so subtly suggested that he leave by Ty, but… It probably helped that no one seemed to be here. In fact, it seemed like the entire place was empty… Owen shook his head, and kept a tight hold on the bag of Chinese food as he headed down the halls he knew like the back of his hand, and arrived at the destination: bae’s room. Still, as polite as ever, Owen raised a hand and knocked. “Trixie? You in there?” “Just a minute!” Getting back with Owen made her feel like when they first started wooing each other — nervous, excited, and completely clueless. She had so much missed time to make up for. Truth be told, Trixie had yet to see her parents, who were out for supper with her uncle and aunt. Stella went on a date, still not telling any adult that she was romantically involved with someone, and Luna was her cover, spending time with their half sister, Hailey, who did not have her girlfriend this night. As far as Ty and Julie were concerned, Stella was with them too. Meanwhile, Trixie knew Owen was still upset at her, but maybe, she could be forgiven if she made a quick romantic transformation of her bedroom and put on an old outfit he hadn’t gotten her a couple of years ago. A velvet red babydoll lingerie lace dress. It still fit… Okay, her mind was in the gutter but it didn’t matter! They were back together so it could be. Her room was adorned with rose petals and scented candles. Right now, she was going to be hopeful she’d get something. If she didn’t have conviction, this pursuit would fail from the get go! Positivity. Checking her face one last time in the mirror, she added one last touch. Sexy candy-apple lipstick. After rubbing her lips together, she gave herself a playful wink, before turning on her heel and rushing to the bed. Operation seduction. Bringing her hair to one side, and positioning herself in a rather desirable position, her butt out on display as she laid on her side like one of those french girls, Trixie called out, “Okay! Ready~” Her heart was beating so hard, it felt like it would come out of her chest. Why was this so nerve wracking? Owen opened the door, swinging the bag around. “Hey, I brought food — geeze, you’re dressed for somethin’, aren’t you?” Owen asked with a raised eyebrow as he stepped into the room and closed the door behind him, though he didn’t lock it. “I didn’t know what you wanted to drink, so my solution was to get you nothing to drink.” If there was ever a question that Owen was his father’s son, it was answered firmly whenever he spat out lines such as that. He stepped toward Trixie, and put the bag down on the bed beside her, though didn’t seem to be responding very much to her ‘operation seduction.’ “If you want water, I can go get you some. From downstairs.” “Or…” Trixie went on her knees and ran her pointer finger up his toned stomach to his fine chest… “I could drink something else.” Hey, she was desperate. It was okay if she didn’t get any, but she could still please him! As his girlfriend, it was her job to fully satisfy him. Her eyes read: Come on, Owen. You know you want me. Owen raised an eyebrow as he stared at his girlfriend, watching her finger trace its way up his body. Didn’t she know? He reached a hand out, and took hers in his, and shook his head as he pulled it away from his chest, “Uhhhh, no. You’re in trouble, babe. You know better.” Owen tutted, wagging his finger in her face. “Trouble means that I have to suffer too.” He sighed and shook his head, mocking her with a fake sense of disappointment. “But why?!” Trixie crossed her arms and growled. “Haven’t we done enough to each other?” Why was he torturing her for something she did when they WEREN’T together? Like he had control of how she was going to deal with her emotional turmoil. The only support she had was from Jamie, so yeah, she used the one thing she knew would get him to comfort her. His need for gossip. No one said she was the most logical person but no one else was there for her either. Putting distance between them, she leaned on the backboard and looked the other way, out the window. What a waste. “Look, I’m not mad at you. But I have to be consistent, you know. I can’t just freak out on Jamie, and weirdly go talk to his mom — who probably thinks he’s a golden child or something — and then let you be perfectly fine. Do I want to have sex with you? Do I want to do nothing while you do all the work because you feel bad? Yes, I do. But I can’t. This hurts me, more than it hurts you.” Owen explained, sitting the bag of Chinese down on the ground, reaching over and patting Trixie on the head. While Trixie was upset (maybe understandably), Owen was having fun. There was something to be said for this part of their relationship, when Trixie got grumpy. She was cute. “Make it through Friday, and then we’re back to smooth sailing, like nothing ever happened. Can you survive without me inside of you for that long?” Her attention was still out the window but her words were directed to him as she mumbled, “You make it sound like that’s all I think about.” He could very well just stay mad at Jamie and not project his anger on her. Even if it was her fault. Jamie wasn’t sleeping with him or her. Jamie wasn’t in this room right now. Jamie had nothing to do with their relationship, so the fact he had to punish her was just downright mean. Why was he even over if he was going to be an ass? “I know that’s not all you think about. That’s why I decided to come over for dinner, even though we’re not going to have sex. Duh.” Owen said, pulling out one of the boxes of Chinese food, and opening it up. “Now, you can either stop staring at the window and being grumpy, and eat Chinese food, or you can pout, and I can eat all of it. I’m fine either way.” By the end of this? Owen was pretty sure he was going to wind up in as much trouble as she was now, but whatever. It would be worth it. “Your call, baby.” Unfortunately, Trixie was petty, annoyed, and stubborn. Although she did look away from the window, it was only to deny the food she bought, “I’m not hungry.” Leaning forward, she reached for the remote that was at the edge of her bed. Something to tune out her aggravation. Roughly, she brushed the rose petals in front of her to the ground. Love was stupid. The tv clicked on. “What do you want to watch?” Now, her eyes were on the TV, and not him. “Now I know you’re just being petty. Trixie Kingsley is always hungry. I’ll feed you.” Owen offered, leaning over so that his chin was resting on her shoulder. If she didn’t cheer up soon, she was very likely to head into a talk with her parents in a salty mood, and he knew that was going to end just as poorly as this was. “I also been thinking, I don’t think I’m gonna talk to Marshall anymore again.” Not-so-subtle subject change. Classic boyfriend move. Giving him a side glare, as he rested on her shoulder, Trixie replied, “That’s your own prerogative, but don’t get upset with me when I still talk to him.” The latina could never blame Marshall for his actions. Owen, however, could. Marshall takes cheaters to heart because of his family history and it didn’t help he was caught between a rock and a hard place. Even she fell victim to people with silver tongues. Even she chose to believe the lies over her trust for him. If anything, she was the one who did Owen wrong the most. The only true advantage she had was he still was emotionally and physically attracted to her. He should hate her. “Not because of the whole ‘he believed Ophelia instead of me,’ thing — I’m actually pretty much over that. I feel like I’ve won, and as a teenage boy, winning is the greatest feeling that I can have so… No, I’m upset with Marshall over what Jamie did. So, as long as Marshall Radley is attached to Jamie Callaghan, I will not be attached to Marshall Radley.” Owen kept his chin on Trixie’s shoulder, and even nuzzled their cheeks together a bit as they spoke, little signs of affection. “I feel pretty good having you back in my life. The rest of this fallout, to me… it seems a little overkill? This was only ever between me, you, Ophelia, and Hailey. Everyone else getting dragged into it is unfortunate, but whatever.” Not his call, not his problem. Owen shifted where he was and looped his arms around Trixie’s waist, before he reached up with a bite of orange chicken, holding it up to her lips. Then, he whispered in an overly sultry, almost joking tone. “What that mouth do, babygirl?” “You do realize I was the one that got everyone involved, right?” She turned her head a little more toward him, shaking her head to decline the meat nearing her lips. They were talking about something serious. No food or cute boyfriend tactics would make this better. His mind was warped and making her seem like she was blameless! When really, all the blame should be put on her. Fine, he’d eat it himself. Owen popped the bite into his mouth, and chewed it while she talked, then shrugged his shoulders. “Your back was against the wall, and you were scared. My back was against the wall, and I would have broken Marshall’s face if Sean hadn’t stepped in when he did. You aren’t holding that against me. Why should I hold your mistakes against? Besides, you’re… you, know a girl. You get more emotional about stuff, and emotionally charged decisions are, as I’ve recently learned myself, sometimes violently out of control.” He shook his head, and took another bite of the food, “but the people you dragged in had no right, and frankly… cooler heads should have prevailed. No one should have been willing to get involved beyond offering you emotional support.” “Yeah, well.” Trixie reluctantly grabbed a plastic fork and pierced a broccoli, “People are dumb.” They could at least agree on that. She wasn’t going to admit defeat but she would eat for him. Grumpily, she put the of vegetable in her mouth.
