Still need to format and add an appearance, but posting to show that I've been working on something!
Name: Ned Simms Alias: Rocky Age: 22 Gender: Male Precautions: None Personality: Ned draws his strength and will from his drive to improve - everything is a chance to become more than he was a minute before, and he goes to great lengths to try and make himself a better and more talented person. His disposition can only be described as loud, bombastic, and constantly trying to overstate his own importance. He boasts about his accomplishments, and regularly lies about them in order to get people to respect him more. Despite this, he does not find problems with others trying to talk about their own achievements, and regularly brags about his friends when they do better than him at something. Despite having a very loud and somewhat obnoxious personality, Ned is extremely hesitant to share his past, and will rarely speak of anything that happened before the academy, preferring to keep it under wraps. He gets nervous whenever anyone with extra authority shows up New Horizon, and seems to trust women far easier than men. Powers/Abilities: Damage Empowerment Ned is empowered the more bruised and battered he becomes, the more lethal the damage meaning a more powerful boost. He gets stronger, faster, and more durable the more he is hurt physically, but while this may help him sustain his injuries for longer, it doesn't actually heal them. The scale of the damage is directly correlated to the boost - a broken bone may increase his abilities by 10%, but enough damage to put him in a coma/kill him without immediate medical attention could potentially double his physical stats. After his adrenaline stops pumping, the boost slowly fades - however, half of the boost will remain and permanently empower Ned, and all future boosts build off of them. This power's main drawback is, while it has great potential, to draw out the most power in a fight Ned would have to be beaten half to death. Also, while Ned's personality lessens the drawback of this somewhat, he still feels all the pain from his injuries, which make fighting difficult while using his power. At his current level, he could pick up and throw a small car 20 feet, and can sustain small arms fire with minimal damage. Appearance: TBA Other: History: Ned lacks any major backstory that makes him unique - he spent his entire life being a backdrop, a side character, and a bad one at that. He had never experienced any kind of belonging, almost entirely due to his own insecurities and inability to seek out a place where he could stand out. Instead of looking for actual interaction, he secluded himself and burrowed into the recesses of the internet, a place where it didn't matter if you couldn't talk to people, and still have meaningful companioinship. At 21, he realized he was unemployed, had been out of high school for 3 years, and had no direction or meaning, living off of his parents like a parasite. He used this as a motivator, exercising and finally trying to get a job (which he eventually suceeded at). Three months after his sudden inspiration for improving himself, he was ran over by a car on his way home from an interview. The accident left him in a coma for three days, and it took nearly 3 months to totally heal. By the time he could move on his own, he realized that he was far stronger than what he had once been, easily being able to lift his old one rep max for multiple reps each set. This was when he decided to go to New Horizon, where a proffesional confirmed he had a special ability. From then on, Ned has decided to become the best he possibly could, at that only thing that made him special. He would do his best to be a hero. He'd do his best to be a main character.
