[@Phantomlink959] I know that feeling. I create and play a lot of characters over my time rping, it’s hard to choose my favorite. I also love trying something new and interesting as well. My longest running one has been a character named Racheli Desdemona, who’s actually considered a sociopath or have those tendencies. I originally made her for a fey RP called Lavender Pit, based in the town of Bisbee, Arizona. It fit well for the character since with each time I altered her for an RP, she grew and core traits of her personality became fixed in her revamping process. She’s pretty been classed as the bitch and distant character out of my collection. Her main theme (sometimes I use theories or thoughts, etc, for character design) was nature vs nurture. Her father was a psychopath who had several female victims. Rach inherited some of his enjoyment for violence and suffering, but never actually wanted to practice it. Mostly because she knew it was considered wrong in the real world, and a part of her wanted to belong. She is one of the most complicated characters I’ve created to date. I’ve never been in an RWBY RP, but I have heard of the anime and that it is good. Chunlan Zhu sounds like a fun bundle of energy, lol. I also liked how you got creative with the weapon as few people actually consider using a monk spade or even know that it exists until they look it up. I actually had to remind myself what it was by googling it. Also, I bet your character was a force to fight during combat. I also love talking about characters honestly. It’s my bread and butter and really gets my RP motor roaring. It’s fun to know why they act the way they do or how they see the individual characters they interact with. For some reason, I enjoy it. [@Buzzkill] That sounds like an awesome story for a wicked character. I would’ve loved to have played with a character like that in my DnD group. I’m currently playing on a floating islands RP, where the setting is a homebrew one. The DM has done a wonderful job of setting up the world and helping us all fit into it. There have been a few bumps, but we’ve easily worked it out. Which is actually a better experience than some of my past groups. The characters are both unique and interesting. There’s Thora, our fiery redhead human sorceress with a big heart and tragic luck. I believe the player if I recall right, based her on a witch heavily in her spells. She lost her mother in a fire she started when her magic come into being which she is still mourning despite the journey we’re heading on to find answers to questions the council on the island is hiding from us. Blue is our risk taker, athletic water genasi monk with a talent for riding ax beaks. We had a scene where we were trying to boost my character’s confidence with hunting and another ax beak entered into the hunt, trying to swipe our prey. Well, Blue literally was hitching a ride on my druid and rode her until he could he hop over to the enemy where they clashed. He gave Nemeia a heart attack when he did that. She couldn’t hit him though when she tried, the slippery monk side stepped it easily. My character is a tiefling druid. Had a hard life with neglect and isolation because of her demonic heritage, but become fast friends with Blue and Thora. One of her biggest flaws is that she’s a bit of coward. When things go downhill, she normally would run. I’ve tried to make her stand and fight before, but her die rolls just end up sucking. During one battle with frost mephits causing serious damage, she couldn’t dodge or hit anything. Finally, I said I give up then let her nature fully take over and ran. She got a natural 20 scaling a tree to hide. I was laughing so hard about that. Ever had cases like that where when you stay IC, your rolls suddenly get better? However, when you try to go out of character (even a bit) then they bite really bad? Like the dice are trying to keep you in check and moment you step out of line, you’re going to pay lol. [@Lotrix Molick] Nice, it sounds like you took a genre and turned it on its head with a brand new angle to Semblance for the RWBY universe. It actually reminds me of a small version of a mech suit for the more sci-fi animes. However, it still seems to fit pretty well. That’s really hard to do for some people. I’m very impressed by that. [@Burger] When is that? 0.o I apologize for the wall text, I did try to break it down. XD
