Elina and Evelune
The long haired shrine maid walked into the night wearing her black pleated skirt, white frilly shirt and grey hoodie as her hair was tied like any other day just as in the picture with a big red ribbon in it. She went out tonight to see if she could see any nightmares and something much more promising that she was about to head too right now. Elina walked out of the nearby seven eleven with two steaming cups of ramen in both hands and two pair of chopsticks hanging out of the side of her hoodie. Quickly she went down a few streets. Her pace was close to running but she wanted to be sure at least the ramen would still be hot. Elina came up to the well known bridge that she had been to for the last few nights now that her goal was here. Elina carefully slided down the side of the bridge until she could spot her target. It was a young girl about the same age as her she presumed that was rolled up under the bridge cowering for warmth and food. Elina had helped the girl with food for the last few weeks. She would move locations due to the police sending her away but another bridge or shelter was easily found with the knowledge of Elina. Elina softly snook up on her as she set down the cup of ramen in front of the girl. She gave her a short glance before looking the complete other way. She simply sat down and started pulling open her own ramen. She broke the chopsticks unevenly in half and started munching down the food. She was not used any other food for the last half year now that her parents had left her so this tasted somewhat good. Elina had been sad since the moment Eve and her had met. She would have some moments of happiness like when she was eating food but furthermore she just felt like a ball of depressiveness. She still wanted to help the girl though since she did try her hardest to live normally. "H-hai...Did anything happen today...?" The area under and around the bridge saw less foot traffic these days since its new underground tenant moved in unbeknownst to the public at large. The air around the entire construction was filled with a very morbid air that crawled under the skin and spoke to the baser instincts of animals letting them know a predator was near or that it just outright wasn’t safe to venture out or explore around out of fear that that instinct was based more in reality. Eve found herself lost in Miso city after going on a blind rage that jumped from one nightmare to the other from the entrance of town that ended here under this bridge. The underside of a bridge seemed just as good as any other dwelling that didn’t smell like home, so this became her base of operations so to speak that she would hunt during the night where the nightmares were more prevalent. The hunt as it were wasn’t all about the slaughter of nightmares at night she was also looking for someone else a certain smell of family wafted in the air near this bridge itself and the warmth of home that even in memory kept her warm on cold nights. These days she stayed in her transformed self the entirety of her being oozed killing intent ensuring her presence would go uninvestigated except for one girl, a magical girl like her tainted. Their relationship had started a little rough being that Eve wasn’t the best when it came to meeting new people but the girl grew on her and eventually she didn’t mind when approached especially when she brought her food. Today much like the other days she was brought something for her body to continue living to the next day, cup noodles with chopsticks. Eve was no savage before she fell but now she was used to hunting, killing and cooking her own food over an open fire then eating with her hands or some tool crafted out of wood most notably a spoon she was particularly proud of. After fumbling with the chopsticks with her fingers rather unimpressively then dropping them completely offset the shark girl to which she remedied the situation by dumping the entire contents of the cup into her mouth. “Not a good hunt all day...something in the air” she growls looking off in the distance Eve gladly took the warm cup of ramen. The girl did seem like she was quite hungry when her complete attention turned to the ramen. Elina softly smiled a little under her sad eyes as she saw the girl look at the ramen. Elina hoped the food tasted good. She was somewhat shocked after seeing how the girl ate. Eve just dropped the chopsticks to the side after trying quite hard to eat with the tools she never ate with before. Eve simply drank the ramen from the cup gulping down the entire portion of the cup in one go. Elina furrowed her brows before continuing to eat from her own cup ignoring the street girl her manners for now. Eve spoke annoyingly about her hunt today. Oh right Eve did hunt on her own as well. She lived off of the wild for the most part given that she was a magic girl it was entirely possible. "Have you tried setting up traps perhaps?" Elina softly blowed her ramen to cool it off some more. As she spoke with the girl and thought to herself that this girl might be even hungrier. Wouldn't hurt to ask at least. "Want more ramen? You can have mine if you eat half of it with chopsticks." She wanted to try and get this girl to learn some basic japanese behaviour like any child would learn in this country. At least she could go around without seeming strange or weird. Eve grumbled but agreed she was having a hard time hunting the stray deer that walked the streets probably because she was nearly four months without a bath. The dirt that clung to the wild girl’s hair dirtied her hair so much one wouldn’t be able to tell she was in fact, a platinum blonde haired young lady. Reaching her hand out and taking the cup of noodles from her strange friend Eve began to once again fight with the chopsticks, it took several minutes of fumbling her fingers around the tools before she understood the basic concept and was able to pull her first noodle from the cup a single depressing noodle. Time went by, more and she manages to pick up dexterity from a dark corner of her brain that controlled her long-term memory and her body mimicked the action she used to be able to perform in another life. Those days seemed far away now shroud by a fog conceptualized by her own mental fragmentation sure enough Eve wasn’t insane but the girl was aggressively unstable. Her hazy eyes lowered to the ground disassociating completely at this point completely lost within the stygian void of her brain, that wild, unkempt flowed over her filthy face hiding her dry lips and sullen features. “Thank you,” she muttered, looking up at the other girl putting the second cup of noodles down, dropping her hands down to her bare feet both sets were sharpened specifically cut and maintained to rip flesh from bone just like her pointed teeth. Everything was peaceful for that moment as the two shared a quiet moment together until a faint booming sound could be heard coming from the direction of the park. Igniting something within Eve as she could feel several different magics going off all day, but one, in particular, sparked her to jolt off into that direction on all fours before rising up to her legs and sprinting faster. Elina didn't get much reaction back from the girl when she mentioned to set up traps. Only a light grumble from her assumingly failed attempts at setting up traps. Elina softly sighed and turned her gaze forwards. This girl was truly helpless without Elina her help. Why wouldn't she just go to the orphanage like Elina had said or rest a few nights at her house. There were three beds left and she was quite lonely so Elina wouldn't have complained if she did. Elina gave Eve the cup of ramen for her to try and eat them with proper eating utensils. It was quite cute to see her fumble with chopsticks for over 5 minutes straight. Elina did help her a little putting Eve her fingers on the right places. Elina did not talk much during todays dinner nor did Eve. There was not much to converse about in the first place with them nothing feeling quite grim about life. It did make her happy to watch the street girl eat with so much appetite. It even made Elina somewhat jealous herself. Furthermore she did not do much else during this miserable life. Everything she loved and liked doing had just disappeared like snow on a warm summer day. This was the one thing she could get some fulfillment out off. The street girl thanked Elina shortly for the food and gazed at the ground again. Elina nodded her head somewhat unexpectedly and continued to do the same. Eve had some manners after all. Time passed without much exchange of words, Elina did not know a single thing to bring up apart from Eve her hunting. The girl did not seem to have any hobbies or things to do in life apart from fighting and surviving. It was a bit sad honestly but what was she to do. Maybe something more would come out over time. Every person had something special about them after all. While deep in thought the sudden movement of Eve caught Elina off guard. Elina stared after Eve as she took off. There was a soft boom in the background that indicated something. Elina stood up quickly picking up the two cups to throw away while on her way and started jogging after Eve. She was a lot faster in her magical girl form. "O-oh E-Eve w-wait up p-please!"
