You've also spent the better part of a year having people hype it up. But now to address the spoiler stuff.
-Star-Lord didn't fuck everything up. It was a character flaw that was applauded in GOTG 2 and exploited in IW, which is a movie all about failure and flaws of the characters. Never mind the fact that Strange needed this to happen or that Nebula, who was not part of the plan, could have interfered. Never mind that Thanos beat the Hulk without the use of the Stones OR the Gauntlet which means taking them off wouldn't exactly make Thanos helpess without the gauntlet, if you're going to blame Star-Lord for fucking up then you should also blame Thor for A: Not doing anything to prevent Thanos from getting the Mind Stone and B: Quipping first. What's wrong with Wanda and Vision's love? Never mind that it's part of comic lore, but Wanda is basically an outcast as much as Vision is and they share that bond. Plus the movie is about the heroes not willing to make the same sacrifices and choices as Thanos, such as sacrifice of a loved one. Hulk is a pissy baby who got his ass beat and didn't want to fight Banner's battles anymore. His not showing up serves three points. Comedy. Character growth for Banner. And to make his inevitable return in Avengers 4 all the cooler. Also what could Hulk have done? Dude got straight bodied by Thanos. Yes. He should've. Yes. He was. Yes. It was. God damn right

yeah I know which was what ultimately caused it to fall short of my expectations. I'm sure that if I had saw it sooner or not listen to people while they were talking to it I would've liked it way more. I liked Civil War way more than IW, honestly.
I feel like if Wanda had let them just straight up destroy Vision for everyone's sake right there and then in Wakanda it would've saved a lot of trouble, especially since Vision died anyway. Doctor Strange saw all of those futures after the decision to preserve Vision, right? What wouldve happened if they decided to destroy both him and the stone in one go? Unless Doctor Strange saw every outcome with that in mind.
