She buys her clothing not because it’s the latest fashion but because jeans and T-shirts are always in and her teacher/coach garb she buys her things at the local second hand stores. GIFT : Peak Human Condition
The Wendy's bodily functions are pushed to the pinnacle of human conditioning; therefore, her strength, speed, stamina, senses, agility, reflexes, accuracy, longevity, durability, intelligence, healing time, flexibility and combat skills are near enhanced/superhuman. ::Peak-humans are superior to normal members of their species, as well as Olympic-level athletes. They are strong enough to punch an individual through a wooden or thin-metal door; able to break thin steel bars with their bare hands; fast enough to catch-up or outrun moving vehicles; able to exert themselves to peak capacity for hours; producing top-endurance and lung capacity; agile enough to climb the tallest of buildings, leap to high feats into the air and distant miles; reflexive enough to quickly dodge multiple gunfire, incoming attacks, and fast motions, accurate enough to achieve multiple small and further distant targets, capable of living longer than the average-person, durable enough to withstand normal and enhanced physical/projectile attacks, intelligent enough to understand complex problems better than average humans, they can heal themselves in very short-periods of time, flexible enough to coordinate their limbs perfectly and their combat skills are advanced enough to defeat large groups of enemies.
Gift Limitations : First Limitation Wendy has a huge food bill because of how much energy her body burns when she pushes herself (Typical Lunch: 8 pieces or whole chicken, 3 servings of mashed potatoes, 2 side salads, 3 servings of green beans, 4 biscuits, and 4 large sweet teas) If Wendy doesn’t eat she can be sure to become cranky, shake and worst experience burning cramps. Brief History : Wendy began life like everyone else a loved baby with doting parents but all that ended when Hurricane Franklin a Class 5 which nearly destroyed the entire town of Pascagoula Miss. when it stalled for nearly 10 hours over the coast. 1,400+ people lost their lives that day many due to storm surge and the rest trapped under fallen buildings but it was the Escatawpa residents that got hit with the worst. Initially the people that lived in the little neighborhood of Ashland at Moss Point suffered only a few casualties but they didn’t know they’d been exposed to powerful carcinogenic chemicals that over the next 3 years began killing people with very aggressive cancers. First to die in her family Wendy’s dad was buried in the first wave as its called (76 people who died 3 months after the storm.) Then 2 years later Wendy’s mother passed away and she was placed in foster care and showed no signs of the Moss Point effect till her 7th birthday when at a doctor’s visit Wendy went into a coughing fit and spit up blood. She was a victim of the Moss Point event and almost assured of dying like her parents and because of that was sent to the Cancer Institute in Atlanta Ga. to be studied and have several new treatments tried on her. Expected to die in less than a year Wendy surprised them by seeing her 8th and 9th birthdays but still being attacked by her cancers wasn’t expected to live much longer. It was there at the institute Wendy discovered the physical rehabilitation center and asked if she could use the machines and the doctors agreed it might help keep her mind occupied so granted her permission. At first she struggled to use the machines but over time she grew better at their use and a marvelous thing happened, she went into remission. By her 10th birthday Wendy’s hair was growing back and even her skin was smoothing out so the institute released her to the foster care of an Atlanta couple the Farmers Emma and Richard and she began to blossom in their care becoming a girl few might think had ever been so close to death. The Farmers were a great foster family who were always nice to her and provided her with all the things she needed to grow up healthy and strong. Dr. Farmer her foster mom was an avid runner and her lifestyle infected Wendy who was soon running the Peachtree road race with her at 13. Wendy shocked her Doctors as she grew older becoming a beautiful and healthy young woman her cancer in total remission. Life went on for her as it did other girls her age, she graduated high school, went to college where her love of physical activity saw her getting her teaching degree in Physical education and becoming a teacher at a high school (don’t know where this will be based so left out location details) at age 23. The same year she became a teacher Wendy decided to run a Marathon for fun and entered and took 10th overall defeating around 30 world ranked competitors; she made local headlines which her students picked up and she’s now the star of her school. She likes that she has inspired girls at her school to take up track and she works hard to help them improve their running skills as well as endurance. This year her girls came in third in the state which is a huge improvement over the fact that since its founding 10 years ago the school has never placed in state.
