[indent]Kate was born in Burlington, Vermont into a rather traditional household. Upon her birth, her family uprooted themselves and relocated to Los Angeles, California where she grew up. Kate and her three siblings spent the most time with their mother as her father was the only person who worked in the family. While her mother tended to her siblings, Kate was often off doing her own thing as was usual for kids and teenagers who didn't really have anything better to do. Her group of friends growing up loved to tinker with things and soon Kate embraced that love and discovered her talent with all things mechanical.

Her senior year of high school she was dead set on committing to USC despite its killer price tag (I mean seriously, it's fucking $50,000/year). She felt it was the best place for her, and did everything she could to get herself in there. She did make it in, but she had to pay the full price tag and was very quickly put into a mountain of debt because student loans were pretty much the only way she was going to afford such a high class education. Upon receiving her Bachelor's, she received an offer to be a mechanic at a higher class garage across the country, landing her where she is now.

The day that she met her string was a rather confusing day for Kate. Being that she is a turbo virgin (to the point where she has never kissed someone), she doesn't really know how to process her feelings. Not like it's a big priority for her right now, but she really would like to get to the bottom of it so she has a better grip on what to do. But as for now, her inability to process her feelings plagues her on a daily basis. Sometimes she'll spend an ungodly amount of time trying to figure out how to go about this.[/indent]

[indent]Anastasia was born in Kiev, Ukraine to a former Ukrainian national and a nurse. Her arrival into this world was perfectly timed as her parents had decided to emigrate from Ukraine to the United States to pull their daughters away from an increasingly tense environment. As a result, she had spent the vast majority of her childhood in Akron, Ohio. Gone was the prestige of being the child of a high ranking official and in was the everday struggle and issues every single middle-class family faced. They couldn't live life the way they did back in Ukraine. 

Luckily, her parents were still able to give her a comfortable upbringing despite their new means. Anastasia was luckily able to go through her schooling without anyone finding out who her parents were, and eventually she was accepted into Northeastern University where she was able to earn a Bachelor's of Science in Bionengineering - which lead her to stay in Boston. Boston, for the most part, has been the biggest change in Anastasia's life besides the move to America while she was still inside of her mother. Boston was where she laid down her own roots, as well as meet the one string in her life.

However, her string isn't exactly someone she wants to associate with. It isn't because she doesn't like them, she just doesn't think that she's good enough for them, despite her outward demeanor. As a result, she tends to appear aggressive despite her feelings. But rest assured, she and her string have quite a strange relationship, at least from her perspective.
