Hrm. I'll take that into consideration, and perhaps add a small amendment to Malik's history to reflect the difficulties he faced when initially joining the academy. A bit about when he got his tattoos wouldn't hurt either.

Yup, that's how I imagined it went. Occupation by a foreign military would be bad enough, but the fact that they arrived with the express purpose of 'destroying' Aquellan culture would only further the divide between them and the Empire. I'd imagine a great deal of their vitriol would be turned toward the Stormtrooper Corps in particular, since they're the most visible form of Imperial oppression; so having one of their own in Malik [i]be[/i] a Stormtrooper would be a massive betrayal.
