I’ll probably refine this a bit once I figure out the best way to word some of this stuff, but for now, here she is! Please laugh at it...” Name: Sumi Elias Age: 16 (she took a year away from school to go to trauma counseling) Height: 167cm (5 ft., 6 in.); potentially higher depending on what leg prosthesis she is using Weight: 58 kg (128 lbs.) using lightweight civilian prostheses, 117 kg (258 lbs.) using heavy construction prostheses Build: Sumi has the build of a normal girl her age, but due to her accident, she was rendered quadriplegic without the use of advanced prosthetic limbs Quirk: Matter Eater - A strange and unbelievable Quirk that allows Sumi to eat and digest nearly any solid matter, no matter how toxic or tough. Whether it be drinking gasoline or chewing through dirt and solid concrete, nothing can stand in the way of Sumi’s iron chompers. Description: A bashful and somewhat shy girl with a sunny disposition that often goes unnoticed by other people, Sumi Elias has always been used to being the object of unwanted attention by others. First it was her unusual Quirk that made others feel a sense of unease around her. Later it would become her foreign heritage that made people treat her differently as a child (even though her British father had still been a man of second-generation Asian descent). It was already hard enough for her to live a normal life, which was all she’d ever wanted. Then the crash happened, and Sumi was never the same. Made a quadriplegic and only able to live a normal life with the aid of high-tech prostheses that made her stand out even more, it seemed Sumi’s troubles were only increasing as time went on, the things that set her apart from others slowly turning her real self invisible. For a while, she seemed to retreat inside herself, becoming quiet and withdrawn. Many feared the incident may have broken something inside her. Far from broken, however, she seemed to emerge from the ordeal with a new, unexpected confidence and drive. Boldly, if still a little meekly, announcing her intention to become a hero, she devoted herself to her studies and physical therapy with a quiet optimism, just barely making up the gap left by taking a year off of school in time to take Jigokuraku Academy’s entrance exams. Easily flustered and still a little uncertain, both on the battlefield and seemingly in her own skin, it’s going to take some time before Sumi Elias can truly call herself a hero-in-training. But with the right guidance, perhaps... who knows? Miscellaneous: She has a very dry sense of humor, and loves cheesy wordplay. Her favorite shows are cooking shows, and she loves trying out new recipes for herself at home, though she keeps herself full by snacking on bars of mineral-rich clay whenever she’s at school. She dislikes people looking at her like a cripple, on top of general body-image issues stemming from the mess her Quirk has made of her mouth. Favorite movie genres include horror (monsters only, she’s afraid of ghosts), kaiju flicks, and romantic comedies.
