Penelope felt her heart sink at Crow's words. It wasn't what she had been hoping to hear, not even close. While she was glad he wasn't outright making plans to go attack, his willingness to fight made her uneasy. She was conflicted more than ever before. Usually protecting her loved ones was easy, they all had a common enemy and she would do her best to stand in the way of it those she cared for. But this time, two people she cared deeply for were pitted against each other. It should have been easier, to side with her brother and the other knights. It was the life she had chosen. But she couldn't. Though she tried to ignore them, her feelings for Crow were still around even after rejecting him. Penelope wouldn't be able to turn against him, even with this new development. She felt powerless. "I understand having to fight if it comes down to it.." She spoke again after a moment of reflecting on his words. She lifted her gaze to look at him, a new mix of determination and desperation burning in her gaze. "But there must be something I can do to lessen the chance of that." Penelope suddenly offered. She had to do something. She couldn't just stand back and risk losing someone in a clash of knight against criminal. The heartache she had been feeling was beginning to dull in that moment, replaced with the care she felt. "I'm a lieutenant now, a right hand to a rather powerful baroness." She explained to him. "It's the reason I was able to find out about the trap they're setting up." Penelope hesitated. "I can work with you and your group, get you what you need. As long as it keeps you and my comrades safe, I'll do it." She said, speaking with a bit more conviction. She had been hesitant to offer Crow her help. Not because she thought he'd abuse it but rather because that meant they'd be working together despite everything that had happened the previous night. She supposed the situation wouldn't be ideal for either of them but if it meant she could protect both conflicting sides, she was willing to push past the discomfort.
