He chuckled and shook his head. The floor always seemed to have something involving their relationship to say. ”Would you like to propose for me?” He walked over the floor and headed up the stairs until he reached the 20th and 21st floors. Thia was well ahead of him and greeted Ayra first, running around her legs and nudging her for her favourite head scratches. She barked happily as she looked between the apprentice and Ayra. She barked again so Cuyler didn’t have to wander around the 20th floor. Cuyler stepped through the door and smiled. His smile never seemed to change when he was in Ayra’s presence. It was full and genuine and he always stared at Ayra for a little longer than strictly necessary, only because he liked the blush it would bring to her face. He slipped the bag off his shoulder before he walked further into the room. He looked at Atkin and gave him a polite smile before refocusing on Ayra. ”How are you today?” The way Cuyler asked, implied a little more knowledge into her condition then Ayra had been letting on. He came to sit beside Ayra and leaned into kiss her cheek, although he desired to do more, he kept in mind that they weren’t alone. He set his bag on the floor before resting his free hand on Ayra’s leg. They had become a safe space to her, like an old friend as she passed pictures that had become familiar and window views she never thought she would see. She passed a few Palace Guard on duty and she gave them a simple nod when they stopped at attention for their general to pass before resuming their duties. In a few hours, there would be more of the Palace Guard and the Young Army patrolling these halls and within the Castle walls. Even though everyone else seemed to be in a blissful daze, it didn’t mean the Palace General would let her people relax. She slowed as she approached the Long Walk, having not come across Luna yet, she assumed they would just be leaving now. Voices filtered into her ears and she recognized Luna’s immediately. Amarantha stepped to the side of the hall and waited for her and the Prince to come into view. They were speaking of the wedding and Amarantha heard Prince Tristan’s comment on being Luna’s plus one. She rolled her eyes briefly before they came into her view. She stepped forward before bowing elegantly to her charge. ”Your Highness,” she addressed specifically before looking to Prince Tristan and gave him a polite bow as well. ”Continue on, pretend I’m not here.” She looked at Prince Tristan pointedly though, just to make sure he remained on his toes around her. Her eyes traveled further to notice that the prince’s personal guard was in tow as well. Excellent. She moved back out of the couples way so they could continue on their walk before she fell in behind them. Amarantha gave a respectful distance to give them some privacy but remained close enough for her to move in quickly if it was warranted.
