They might be so much physically stronger than him and lacking enough control, they could injure and/or kill him inadvertently (Prob not gonna happen but cracked bones, heavy bruising) not to mention teeth and claws.  Gonna be sore in the morning.

Being savaged by a monster in such a way could be a dangerous.  It's why Ozzy carries a whip.
