Name: Su Daji Title: The Cruel Mistress of Zhou, Daji, Nine-Tailed Fox Class: Assassin Gender: Female Birth and Death Dates: Lived approximately 1070-1045 BC Alignment: Chaotic Evil Catalyst: A Bloodied Nail from China. The amount of suffering its inflicted is enough to render it a 'Cursed' item. Personality: Su Daji is very much a spoiled princess, one who was never denied anything in all this world. Thus she can be very vain and entitled to the point if anyone denies her she can become unreasonably angry. Morality and obligation to her Master mean nothing to her to the point where one could call Assassin a very dangerous Servant to possess. Impressive and potentially game breaking if used correctly but finding common ground with her can be very difficult because of her mindset. Command Spells are something a Master must use wisely around such a risky servant if they are to prevail in a Grail War with her. If catered to and pampered she is much more ready to listen and comply with her Master's orders. She loves, desires, and takes what she wants freely without regard for others but will in these cases try to be considerate so long as they don't overstep on what she desires to do. Certain Masters that indulge her could become something that she possessively covets and hoards like the finest gold but these cases are VERY few and far between. This is because of the moral stigma that has plagued the world and her impossibly self serving nature. Reasonable demands of her would be 'Don't kill in broad daylight', 'Don't reveal magic to society', and 'Don't leave any evidence of your activities'. As they don't chain her down to absolute obedience she is much more willing to follow these commands. Any who try to treat her as a mere tool or enslave her will often times meet an unfortunate end. When she was of age she was sent to be a Concubine of the Lord Zhou due to transgressions of her father or simply because of the greed of the Emperor. Zhou was immediately smitten with her and repeatedly neglected his duties to be with her. As time went on the King began to skew policy and tact he did anything to be with and please Daji including building a massive zoo, composing lewd music, and created a 'pond' of wine all to make his concubine happy. He indulged Daji in her every desire and protected her from any ill will that came of such devotion. When one of the other concubines protested against Daji she was executed. Further her father was killed, ground into pieces, and fed to Zhou's vassals as a warning for anyone who dared speak out against the daughter of Su. Free to enact her every desire Daji found that she enjoyed the cries of other people, the way they squirmed and protested at pain. She created a great many devices and ritualistic methods to inflict pain on others with the grand money and influence of her love Zhou. After the fall of the Shang dynasty under the orders of King Wu of Zhou, and was recorded into the throne of heroes as an Anti-hero infamous for torture. The late novel known as the Fengshen Yanyi glamorized Daji as a malevolent Fox Spirit who consumed a human girl's soul to get close to Zhou. She appears as a prevalent antagonist and magician who moved the country towards ruin with her wiles. This was so widely accepted more than a millennia later that Daji became tainted with fox traits to reflect this acceptance. Strength - D Endurance - D Agility - A Magical Energy - B Luck - D Noble Phantasm - C -------------------------------- COMBAT Class Skills: Presence Concealment - B++ Hides one's presence as a Servant. Suitable for spying. It is possible to disappear and become extremely difficult to be detected. The rank of presence concealment drops considerably when preparing to attack. This is infinitely more effective when Assassin is making use of her 'Xūjiǎ Bàoshí' Noble Phantasm after seizing a human host. When this occurs she is indistinguishable from a regular person, able to interact and even speak with an opposing servant/master pair without the slightest cause for alarm. ------------------------------------ Personal Skills: Innocent Monster - C Su Daji was a young girl of noble descent who was abducted by the Emperor Zhou of China. Though history tells of her origins and history in detail it is widely accepted that on her way to the Emperor's kingdom she was possessed by a very powerful and evil nine-tailed fox spirit. Other stories tell of the goddess Nüwa ordering the fox spirit to punish Zhou in exchange for immortality, and that spirit devoured Daji and took her form as its own. The 'legend' that Daji was a Nine-tailed fox spirit has become so prolific that it overshadows her actual history and has branded Assassin with this skill. While born a plain human in life the acknowledgement of her being a Fox Spirit has altered Assassin in various ways. The most obvious change is that she possesses both Fox ears and multiple tails that set her apart from most servants. Her skills have also adjusted to fit this image that humanity has branded upon her legend. In particular this has granted her a the skill 'Witchcraft' that reproduces the mischievous magical abilities Fox spirits (also known in China as Huli Jing) are known to have in Chinese mythology, something she lacked in life. Due to her historically cruel nature being closely in line with this alteration of her myth this skill has an average rank. Stories were fabricated to proliferate and glamorize her inhumanity and eventually changed her from a human into a more evil and mysterious entity in the minds of humankind. Witchcraft - B A magecraft strictly for inflicting physical ailments as well as tampering with another's fate by injecting one's own energies into them. While Assassin's container has limited her expertise she still has enough prowess to excel in using her magical prowess to torment her victims. While she can use this to 'hex' a target so their only come into contact with misfortune she more enjoys cursing her enemies physically. This can induce things such as boiling one's insides, complete fatigue, or actualizing the target's death. Since its merely manipulating one's energies into a particular form it can typically be performed at the speed of Single action to One-count. High-Thaumaturgy is exempt from this time frame and requires considerable preparation to realize. Torture Techniques - A A skill that represents one's possession of outstanding torture techniques. Plus modifiers are added when using torture tools to deal damage. Since it is a skill that focuses and elevates bloodshed and pain it causes any wound she inflicts to inflict constant damage to the target. One could call it an advanced level of 'bleeding' that goes beyond physical damage. This can affect even spiritual entities if they return to spiritual form, but the amount of continuous damage is quite low. It can be offset with healing magic since it is a thing that 'restores one to a normal state'. Descent Unto Malice - B Is the degradation of one's rational due to the fervent enjoyment in another's suffering. Assassin enjoys pain and torment, so much that the more she experiences it the less she can control her urges to inflict wounds upon others. This skill functions very similarly to Mad Enhancement with the exception that instead of taking full effect all at once it is a gradually inversion in physical to mental capabilities. Further, while her rationality and restrain is gradually lost she still maintains her individuality as well as all of her cognitive functions. While normally very cunning and wise, if not rash and impulsive, Daji can't contain her love for cries of pain and the sight of cruelty. The more she inflicts wounds or causes suffering to another the harder she becomes to control and the less reasoning that she exhibits. At its peak effect Assassin will rank up all her parameters, but she cannot use any other Skills or Noble Phantasms as she enters frenzied euphoria. The only exception is if she used her Noble Phantasm to inflict the wound, since it makes one forget the tools they have, but does not release the 'whip' from their grip. In this state she forgoes all sense of strategy and reserve, her attacks being delivered without any hesitation to her own safety or limits. Even her form will change slightly to reflect her more bestial desire. A command spell is required to break her away from combat when she devolves into this mindset, but is also very risky to a Master as the displeasure of spoiling her enjoyment might be reflected back unto her Master. This can make it very hard to control Assassin even outside of combat as she enjoys indulging in her addiction to cause misfortune and pain, becoming more and more devoted to the craft the more she experiences it. In these cases she still listens to reasoning (Whether or not she chooses to obey is another matter) but the more time goes on the harder it becomes to control her sadistic tendencies. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Noble Phantasm(s): Xūjiǎ Bàoshí: The Insatiable Hunger of the Nine-Tails - D+ Type: Anti-Unit Range: 1-30 Maximum Targets: 1 Reenacts the great fox spirit's act of consuming Daji's soul. Upon activation she consumes the target's soul, converting it into magical energy, and roosts her own in its place. Since the Soul, Body, and Mind are all separate entities despite being interlinked, she gains access to all benefits of the latter two. This is especially useful when talking about the mind and the information that is stored within. Upon possession of her new physical body she gains the ability to draw on all memories, knowledge, and experience that have been compiled over the target's lifetime. Naturally this allows her to use these memories to more easily reproduce her new form's personality as well as being able to replicate any abilities they might have since she possesses the knowledge of 'how' to use them. This is a powerful, ancient curse of consumption that is intended to work on mortal beings and as such is useless against other spiritual being such as Servants, since they have no mortal body to speak of instead having to materialize one to interact with the world. This Noble Phantasm targets a human in her near vicinity and consumes their soul and then takes over their body. It cannot be overcome except with the most powerful of mysteries. Objects that offer resistance to possession are useless since it this is not a spiritual attack of coexistence but of consumption. Upon completion the target will die instantly as the makeup of their Soul is reduced to mere prana for Assassin. This prevents them from being revived even if were Assassin were to perish since the makeup of their soul is no longer in this world in a finite form. Since this is 'not possession' but instead the replacement of the soul The World doesn't see Daji as out of place and she can remain in the world with much lower cost. Due to not having to materialize her body and also not having to fight The World's corrective impulses Assassin's upkeep is reduced by significantly while inside of a human body. Even if the Grail War were to end she could remain in this world without being erased due to this recognition so longs she had a source of Mana. Since the obtained body houses a Soul not degrade over time, since there is no original soul trying to withstand the nature of a Heroic spirit. The Mind and Body do no attempt to reject Daji's essence. It is still a mere mortal trapping so she cannot display her full capabilities as a Heroic Spirit without destroying the flesh holding her. She can perform somewhat superhuman feats within the realm of common sense without compromising her body. If she were to perform servant levels of physical prowess she'd degrade her borrowed form, the more impressive the feat the more severe the damage to the Body. This breach to her container allows her spiritual essence to seep out into the world, disrupting her Presence Concealment and allowing other Servants to sense her. Only by mending her torn body or obtaining a new vessel can she restore her near perfect disguise as a human. The Mind yields all information to Daji upon acquisition. She obtains all memories, information, and spells that were available to the target. Assassin can use the memories to replicate the personality of her 'host'. Its very convincing but not an absolute reproduction as anyone who's intimately familiar with the individual might deem they're slightly off. Any locations, contacts, or secrets the original Mind knew are intimately known to Assassin. Daji also obtains all knowledge of how to use relics, Mystic Codes, any magecraft and the ability to use any command spells that the target had. Any abilities that revolve exclusively around the Soul of the target cannot be replicated, such as Origins and Reality Marbles. Juéduì De Zhémó: Freedom to Enact Endless Torture - C Type: Anti-unit Range: 1-40 Maximum Targets: 1 Daji throughout her life as a concubine/lover of Zhou was never deterred from her actions of cruelty. Forever she was pardoned from her actions and allowed an absolute right to indulge in her obsession. The king, his subjects, and even Nu Wa allowed the Fox Spirit free reign despite any moral obligation. This has manifested as a Noble Phantasm of torture that reflects her freedom to do as she wishes, manifesting her will as an absolute instrument for inflicting agony. Upon calling out the name of this Noble Phantasm, Daji becomes able to exert her influence as a torturer without any hindrances. She merely has to call out what she wishes to inflict and her opponent is struck with a phantom pain. By inflicting her opponent with the pain of the desired injury, the world corrects the 'cause' and replicates the coveted result allowing it to become reality. It is similar to a the crimson spear of Cu Chulainn with one key difference. It CANNOT kill the opponent. If Juéduì De Zhémó were to kill its target it would cease to be torture and instead elevate into a killing blow. As such she can only imagine and reproduce injuries that would NOT be immediately fatal, such as mangling the muscles in someone's arm, puncturing one of their lungs, or breaking all the bones in the target's leg. Effects such as twisting off one's head or rupturing the heart are not able to be realized with Juéduì De Zhémó due to them being exclusively death blows. The 'attack' takes the form of an acknowledgement from the opponent. With a snap of her fingers she brings the targets attention to her and announces the pain she intends for the her victim to feel. As soon as the target imagines and fathoms the basis of its existence, the pain is inflicted on them through this Noble Phantasm. The world then corrects this 'feeling' into a real wound to correct any discrepancies in the laws of nature, namely cause and effect. Each subsequent activation still requires her to announce aloud the pain she wishes to inflict. For as long as she provides the upkeep for this Noble Phantasm she can will any and all fathomable nonlethal injury on her opponent at the rate of 1 injury per 1 posts. Daji's intent bypasses things such as protections, natural laws, and direct physical proximity (Though the maximum range is approximately 20 meters). Noble Phantasms that revolve around mental resistances and physical durability will automatically reduce the damage by 1/4th for each rank above this one. Since this is a mental pain recreated into the physical those with Mental protections receive great resistance to this Noble Phantasm as they interpret the wound to be 'not as severe'. In such cases Gaia acknowledges this and reproduces lesser damage. Heroes who can fight even on the verge of death can be said to have even greater resistances, such as those with 'Battle Continuation' since Juéduì De Zhémó cannot inflict a lethal blow. Negating the effects of this torture completely is impossible due to The World inflicting the physical damage. but those with lower Endurance are affected by the sudden shift much greater than those who're able to withstand great wounds. The standard damage would be C rank damage for a C endurance opponent. Respectively this damage will increase greatly for each rank of Endurance below C and decreasing in effectiveness for each rank Endurance above C.
