Apart from her short stature and prim-red glasses she keeps around at all times, she’s not that much distinguishable from the typical Japanese school-girl. Most of her outfits reflect this appropriately, Houki often seen in whatever uniform of the school she’s attending. Due to her Quirk however, her glasses are all of the same brand and material, made of the toughest to hold back bullets.

Perhaps at some point in her life, Houki was self-conscious in the demeanor her looks gave off or how "nerdy" she could appear. But with the power that came with Quirks, she frankly had bigger problems to be dealing with than personal image. As a result, she solemn changes her appearance, choosing to forsake additions such as make-up and other cosmetics. She's fine with coming across as a bookworm; controlling her Quirk is more prioritizing anyway.[/i][/color]

[color=a187be][i]Houki’s Quirk is called [color=ed1c24][b]Death Glare[/b][/color], an Emitter-Type Quirk. This Quirk allows Houki to emit red beams from her eyes by glaring; the more intense her glare is, the more focused and deadlier the beams become.[/i][/color]

[color=a187be][i]It was bad enough Houki has always had a natural sort of shyness about her, but the addition of her Quirk and its implications hasn’t made things easier. She’s not so bad as to forsake any sort of friendships, but she’ll be hard-pressed to open up to people on her own. Instead, Houki tends to be attracted towards the more social and extrovert types, perhaps drawn to a lack of what she has. Once making a friend, she’ll do what she can to not be a disappointment towards them.

Houki herself has no incredible backstory, nor does she have any dark past. Unless one counts the time she accidentally burned the school tree down in kindergarten. That was the first instance of her realizing just how deadly her Quirk could be if left unchecked. Sometime later, she was given special prescription glasses to help moderate her Quirk without having to damage anyone or anything else.

But even with the glasses and her control that comes with age and time, she still has doubts about her power. It was this same doubt that spurred her to apply to Jigokuraku Academy, believing she wasn’t quite ready for any top-level schools such as UA. Despite this, there is a determination to learn within her. After all, she can’t remain quiet forever. If she wants to be a hero, she’ll need to discover just what kind of justice she wants to follow.[/i][/color]
