The battle begun and the sound of blades clashing filled her ears as the two enemy forces clashed. Penelope found herself quickly locked in battle with a Younisian knight. She was vaguely aware of Gavin fighting nearby her and Olivia off in the distance among the chaos. She swiped at him with her blade and he blocked it with his own. The enemy knight attempted to slip past her sword and took a stab at her side but Penelope dodged rather gracefully. Over the two years, she had been heavily focused on her job as a knight and her skills had improved all around, making her an even more dangerous enemy than before. However, the one problem was that she struggled to focus on her own fight. Her gaze was often scanning the chaotic crowd around her, trying to keep tabs on Gavin, Olivia, Tomas and her other friends. It was a bit overwhelming as she wanted to try and protect them if she could but also had to deal with the enemy attacking her. You can look for them after you beat this guy.. She told herself, meeting the enemy knight's gaze with a flare of determination. She lunged at him with her weapon, moving to slip past him as he blocked her sword with his. This time she danced around him and delivered a slice to his side on the weaker part of his armor. The knight grunted with pain and charged at Penelope again. She narrowly missed his attack, coming close to having the sword driven into her. Penelope slipped past his defense and delivered a finishing slice to the man's throat, making his body crumble to the ground. She stood back. The female knight looked around the battlefield, noticing how most of her comrades were locked in close battles and that some had already been decided. She flinched as she watched another Brerratic knight collapse to the ground. Trying not to focus on the death, she turned and moved on to face another Younisian knight that was charging towards her. As the battle rolled on, Mia had commanded everyone to fall back a little, clearly trying to get them ready for when the other force of troops arrived. However, as Penelope fought, she noticed they were getting awfully close to the village that was nearby. "Penelope!" She left another enemy wounded on the ground when she heard someone shout her name. The female knight turned her head to see Gavin, his normally stoic expression now held a look of panic as he gestured to a group of Younisians that had managed to push past the Brerratic knights and were getting dangerously close to the town. "Let's go." Penelope said as she hurried to his side, dodging past swords and fights along the way to get to him. She fell back with Gavin towards the village, attempting to cut off the Younisian knights. She glanced over her shoulder to see a few other of their comrades had joined them. Feeling a bit more confident with more than just Gavin and herself, Penelope sprinted forward to engage in another fight with one of the Younisian knights, who turned around just in time to block her attack.
