Arkham Knight as a whole was just one big wet fart to end an otherwise brilliant trilogy. (I've never played Origins, so it can't speak to it.) Didn't help that it fell victim to my least favorite trope: The "I've got a big reveal and shut up you haven't figured it out yet because I'm so clever and you're gonna be so surprised and oh it's exactly what you predicted from the beginning" trope. ... I'm sure TVTropes has a more concise name for it.
Origins is kind of the black sheep and while I don't know many people who like it, it's actually my favourite in the series. Sure it's a portion of Arkham City reskinned but I really enjoyed the story and premise even if it did feel like abandoned DLC in some ways. Also, the multiplayer aspect was sadly underappreciated and was a lot of fun while there were people actually using the servers. But yeah, Knight sort of fell flat on its face. The ending is what bothers me most but the gameplay is so entirely hinged on the Batmobile that it becomes cumbersome. If we ever get another game from Rocksteady (the rumors are quite persistent still), I'd like to see the Batmobile treated more like a mount is in 'Skyrim' or 'The Witcher' instead of 'here's a car that's also a tank and also can power buildings, fight badguys, move objects and drive on walls. You don't need to ever do anything in game but sit in this cockpit.'
