However, I choose the path of a Hunter, an individual specialized against fighting creatures with a bow and swords. Perhaps latter I shall become a Monster Hunter like in the stories they tell despite how naive that may be... That is what I am striving to achieve.

What are your skills?

As the son in a family of herbalists, the skills that I am most versed with is my knowledge of nature, allowing me to identify a variety of plants both medicinal and poisonous. With those plants, I can create items which were of use to the villagers that we catered to, helping to reduce the number of deaths that occurred in the village. My skill with the bow is purely a hobby that I picked up from one of my dear friends, going on small hunts with him to grab rabbits and other small game. There he passed knowledge to me on simple things about animals and how to more or less hunt them. When we were younger, he used to call them 'our adventures' that we'd go on and just have fun in the forest. In recent times though, I have been polishing it up to not only join the Adventurer's Guild but simply survive by hunting game and earn a little pocket money on the side.

What is in your inventory?

The most important thing I always keep on me is my pack used to gather materials as a herbalist. Things like clippers, mortar and pestle, and pouches and vials are what I use to create remedies and potions on the fly. While not impressive as a dedicated place for me to work, its enough to harvest ingredients that I find on the road for whenever the situation calls for it. Other than that, I have a dagger on my side and a pair of sturdy gloves that goes along with the leather armor I have sitting around somewhere when I need to put it on. On my back is the ornate quiver and a decorated longbow as well that my Grandparents say that they were from my elven ancestors. Its quality is of elvish make, being far more than any other armaments that he's seen whenever he's gone to the marketplace, while nothing overtly special about them even upon visually studying it besides its decoration. It is surprisingly light and easy to handle for the bow and quiver.

What are you like? What do people think of you?

Never got much time to explore who I was, or at least have enough time to enjoy the moments I was blessed with. Though I guess that's a matter of perspective... Sorry if this feels inadequate but I'll try my best, not really good with opening up to people truthfully despite what others may say. So to start things off the village that I was raised around wasn't the best place to raise a family, not to blame my Grandparents, bless their hearts. But they were always on guard with us, probably due to our eleven blood that flowed through our veins, making us outsiders compared to them. With stories and rumors that circulated with our family that were told behind our backs as tales to keep their kids in check or harrowing stories to be passed around. In truth we weren't much different from each other, I myself being the third generation in our family that lived here in this village. With the elven blood that our family originally possessed diluted with the birth of my grandparents who were half-elves, I only have a fraction of elvish blood in me to not even call myself an 'half' elf. We had the reputation of being wise if not a frightening family that placed our roles as 'medicine-workers' which they took advantage of whenever convenient. Paying us meager amounts for the jobs we did just to survive, but the sheer amount of work they placed on us was enough for us to stay afloat so long we stayed on schedule. Apologies again, I should not forget to say that not everyone treated us badly, although they were few in number it was... actually heartwarming to see. A few of the adults had the wisdom to see past the narrow perspective that their neighbors had and the one or two elders who understood how important we were to the village. Besides that though, they were vastly outnumbered and spread out compared to way they were normally treated by the villagers. Some of the brave children who came to us, we usually saw them if they were persistent enough and got to know them pretty well, giving us hope for the future generation for a better relationship with everyone. An notable example of was our Village Elder's oldest son, Elias or Eli or short, as the two of us were practically raised together despite being several years older than me. He was only one of the very few friends I had growing up, going on the childish adventures that us kids usually had. We never ran in the village because we knew, or at least I greatly insisted that we shouldn't, causing our adventures to be in the woods or outside the village. As we grew up together, we experience more of the world and thus our minds were similarly shaped with our values interacting with society around us. Together we grew closer as the injustice in the world was seen by us, growing into adulthood we often left the village together for small trips. Talking how we would both leave this town together to see more of what else resides outside the small bubble they lived in. My grandparents eventually passed away when I was 16, leaving me by myself to keep everything afloat or find another way to basically live. People began to notice more of me but never overtly asked why my Grandparents weren't handle the business and transactions anymore. With years of experience watching them and helping them out, it wasn't too hard to continue handling the requests that the village came to me with. One could say that I was more than enough mature for my age, with many travelers who came through surprised by how young I was despite how I carried myself. Pragmatic in my actions, I gradually raised the prices of my business to reduce the work that fell upon me that was literally breaking my back, for the workload of my grandparents fell upon my own. The only one who really asked was Eli, who hanged around me often despite the responsibilities being place on his own workload. A 'calling' as they referred to it, was given to him that was to develop his skills and focus them for the good of the village. It was obvious to everyone that he would receive the calling of being the village's leader, going through the process of having the other elders train him. We together talked about growing up and thought of leaving the village together, we were actually really close to leaving, with our bags packed and enough money to stake off on our own. If it weren't for that day... The two of us actually got into an argument... Hahah- To think that the two of us, with how close knitted we were are still able to fight. I guess that must of been the adolescent angst that surfaced despite both of our maturity, squabbling about our future was a topic we easily got heated about. With more ties than me that bound Eli to the village, he was most hesitant to leave despite also being quite adamant about his intentions. But on that day, I guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was just tired of his indecision or whatever that ticked me off that day and just left... Leaving him just a letter if he ever came back to look for him. Do I regret that decision? I do. For any villages on the outskirts of society and civilization, they possessed the most danger to attacks from monsters. I only heard of the news when I reached the next town over, with rumors of my home village being razed to the ground by monsters.

What are your life experiences? How did you grow up?

I guess my previous statement should fit here, but it feels like you should know that first before why I'm like this. No point beating the bush but you can probably tell I'm a blunt person, no point beating around the bush but if the situation calls for it I'll voice it. That doesn't mean I can't hold my tongue or have a stupid need to cause trouble, but if the situation calls for a reality check, I don't mind having to do it. If anything I try to carry myself practically and keep a level head although lets see if theory holds up to practical application, shall we? Becoming an adventurer... wasn't my first choice for pursuing a career when I left the village, if me and Eli had actually left together, I planned to actually had continue my career as a herbalist and work to find a more solid place for the two of us. With Eli's more formal education, he would of been able to avoid hard labor or with his martial training, become a guard for the place they stayed. However, since none of that came to fruition, my path kinda went skewed from the goals that I had built for the two of us... T-that doesn't matter now... With how I was raised by my grandparents, I have the reputation for being reliable and mature, being known as sort of a 'older-brother figure' who doesn't mess around and likes to get things done. Never had a lot of time to myself but when I did, it was horsing around with Eli and getting out of the house like that. I won't deny that I had the desire for adventure in my blood that tempted me on the adventures he always brought me on, with his tales of heroes dazzling me when I was younger. Becoming an adventurer was something that... Heh- that Eli influenced me to do, not for the sake of helping others or any other noble goal, but simply for that dream of exploring the unknown. Terribly irresponsible of me but that is how I wish to honor him and walk my path, otherwise, did I sacrifice him for just a shell of a life by myself?
