Before they know what's hit them, shattered glass and the force of an explosion tear through the ground floor. Recovering from his dazed stupor, he sees several similarly dressed Azurei raiding the building, attacking any conscious inhabitants that they can with an array of bladed weaponry and unarmed skills. One approaches him as he's quick to load a new, different vial into his pipe where he lies - he blows HARD, releasing an acidic vapor onto his foe, effectively burning the screaming man's face off. He rises, popping the vial out and clearing any remnant vapors with a hard blow, before bending over and retrieving his cane. As he rises, he notes that a new foe has just become disengaged from their last struggle, and the two pace for a few moments before the Azurei rushes him. Noting the tempo, he drives the knife-strike down with his cane, reaches up to unsheath the butt-spike of his pipe from its casing between his teeth, and immediately targets an eye with a solid gouge, followed in rapid succession with a shot to the larynx before sheathing it and removing the pipe from his mouth. Upon noting the last of his conscious (there were about 12/30 able to stand and fight after the initial blast) comrades dispatched by the remaining four Azurei (there were around 8 to start), Haban decides that his fight is finished, and he legs it for the back-door.

...So yeah, still working on pacing myself better - I think those creative paragraphs are starting to help though.
