Alina Crow

"Huh? Say again?"
Name: Alina Crow Age: 16 Gender: Female Race: Harpy Rank: 4 : Wand Personality: Alina is a klutz, Shes known to fall over easy, and bumble her way through many encounters, Shes also a bit dense. But even with all of these qualitys, she is probably one of the smarter pioneers of magic, as expected as a descendent of the crows, Shes generally a bright and cheerful girl, quite the opposite of what one would usually expect for someone whom so casually wields death-magic like necromancy. Of course she suffers the same personality trait as her elders, which you can tell due to her name. She has an infatuation with shinies, and seeing a new shiny can distract her. Of course this would likely result in her losing her head by getting distract by a sword swing, so thats usually why she uses undead minons to do the work for her, usually ghosts rather then ghouls. Of course she doesn't call them minons, thats too demeaning. She calls them respectful contract workers, and puts them back where she finds them. After all shes a nice necromancer, the type that wouldn't so casually use death-magic for ones own agenda's but to contract the dead to help people for a bit. Calling on the ancestors and what not. Its like what some of the shamans do but actually works more often then not! Brief Backstory: The only daughter of her mother, Calera Crow, with her father being a no-show adventure from her flings at the guild, She lived a relatively simplistic life, always guarded by her armoured knight. She grew up with the inquisitive nature characteristic of her family and soon enough she was on the trek to learning as much magic as possible. Always leaning towards the characterisitc familys magic of necromancy, and always trying to pioneer new ways to cast the magics in creative fashions and shorter times. While trying to expand upon the notes of her heritage. She joined the guild mostly due to it being an excuse to go traveling, as well as the fact that her mother used to go there, and it seemed a fitting where to honour her passing by trying to do what she did, Thus, the bright and peppy Harpy started doing guild-work at the guild. Of course she was always shadowed by a masked undead that never revealed their face, but the older folk knew whom they were, Howard was a regular at the guild after all. Having attended 3 descendents of the person that originally revived him from the dead. Alina likes the concept of adventuring, maybe one day she'd take a trip to visit some other places and find other necromancers whom aren't so mean and secluded so she can happily pool over her notes with them. Equipment: The Crows Hat: A witches hand that belonged to her mother and her grandmother before her, Its a simple hat that has no real things special about it, bare that its soaked in enough magic to be sort of magically attuned. Really it does nothing but its the only hat which shes adjusted to so well that it doesn't fall off her head. Otherwise due to the lack of hands, she generally packs pretty light. Skills: Potent Necromancy: If there is a corpse, it is likely she can reanimate it with little effort, explaining why she did that to the church however is another issue entirely. Being a 5th generation necromancer, stemming from a line of potent necromancers. She is quite gifted in the art of necromancy. Specifically in the manipulation of spirits, due to its closeness to air, conjuring banshees and ghosts to aid her. She technically has the expertise required to pursue the field of trying to create a sapient undead servant -but- Howard isn't a fan of getting replaced so she out of respect for the loyal manservant, has neglected pursuing further efforts into producing sentient undead not that she would have much chance anyway due to how slim it was, and instead just continuing work on the other aspects of necromancy. Still, Shes pretty good at sewing with her feet as a result of having to deal with decomposing corpses (for study purposes of course, raising them would result in her having to deal with the local clergy...) . Basic Knowledge of Elementalist Spells: At Howards behest to diversify to not be such a niche spellcaster, she has begun to learn elemental spells, though her training is currently quite rudimentary, She is capable of conjuring the average fireball or so. She has best affinity with air element spells. Flight: Like all harpies she is capable of flight, generally used as an evasive manuever or as a way to take her position as a overseer to command her undead. Or generally so she can see the sights. She likes seeing things with the wind in her hair after all. Not useful in caves.

Howard Rookholm, The Steward of the Crow

"Consider it done M'lady."
Name: Howard Rookholm, The Steward of the Crow Age: 129 (Age at death 34) Gender: Male Race: Sapient Undead (Human) Rank: 6 : Sword Appearance: Howard is a man of few tirades or simple tangents, preferring to dress for business and forgo anything that isn't directly useful to him. Thus due to him being quite a high-quality undead knight, he opts to wear his armor 24/7 for he does not need to eat due to being sustained of the magic alone. Because of this, few have seen his true face or his true build. But it can be judged that he is a muscular gentlemen, by the shape of his armor alone. As he is known to fill it out quite tightly. It is said, the only time he takes the armor off is when he wishes to polish it, which is rare, for old worn armour is perfect for washing off ones true scent from the more observant individuals. It can be noted that Howard stands at 6ft 2in and weights 120kg in full armour Personality: Howard is a man of no-nonsense. He is a down to earth, nitty gritty fighter. Having given up any pretense of heroism and chivalry for cold calculating efficiency. He is an individual that is an enigma, acting only to make sure his charge remains support and safe. Usually either accompying her on missions or holding down the homestead, making sure the harpy can get dressed in the morning. Making him a sort of Paternal figure to the ditzy Alina In fact, his loyalty only lies with the Crow family, having been revived by the great-grandmother of the current crow. He has remained a mainstay of the family life, a protector of the household. A possession if you will, like an automaton. For he himself is simply happy protecting t he family that gave him a second change to serve dutifully. If others wish to harm his only cherished position. Then the swift end of the blade is all they shall receive. Brief Backstory: A hero of valour from a century ago, Howard was the definition of Chilivelrous, he was a knight with a face that could make the woman swoon, and the ego befitting such a man. That was until it all changed. He had been so careless and so confident that he had fallen victim to a mudslide. It buried him beneath the rocks. It was only until. A little girl now all grown up. A harpy with the blackest wings, and the fairest of expressions revived his corpse from beneath the mud. Where he dragged himself to his feet. His emotions were dulled by the process and he could only look back at his past with fervent regret. That was the day that the great-grandmother of Alina, Bellatrix the Necromancer, indicted Howard into the household as a personal steward. For Harpies don't have hands, so having a personal. Biologically immortal. Family servant was a very nice thing to have for the up and coming necromancer. Equipment: A variety of cheap swords: A variety of sharp but cheap swords, for them to quickly dispose of inside their enemies, due to their loot and use style of dungeoneering. A simple crest shield for full arm protection and good blocking range, has the corners sharped for usage as a stabbing implement. Rusty but Reliable Plate Armour. Skills: Diverse Weaponary Knowledge: Having once been a gallant braggard, Howard already had expertise wiedling different types of weaponary. Certainly not mastery, and certainly not a devotion to any style, but the fact he could wield whatever he picked up with some crediblity rendered him quite useful for dungeon work. This also makes him a very good bodyguard. Limited Necromancy Magic: Howard has limited knowledge of necromancy having shadowed the Crow Family for a while. He generally applies this to repair his body in the event it suffers great damage. Painless Berserker: Due to being undead, he can be likened to a walking juggernaut due to the lack of his sense of pain, making him a dangerous adversary.

So I kinda decided to let the creative juices flow and went with a harpy necromancer, with an inherited manservant belong to her great grandmother. Because having the happiest necromancer ever also being an airhead and relying on her undead manservant to use their hands for her (to turn pages in necronomicons of course!) is kinda cool.
