Elizabeth's hair is a bright blonde, though she often doesn't think all that much about it. Her philosophy on her appearance has been over-the-years; keep her hair out of her face with a ponytail, hat, or band. Her eyes by contrast are a dull gray-blue, and ever since switching to contacts her eyeglasses have long since been a distant memory. 

Beth's particular style of dress is decidedly conservative, though very rarely formal or “dressy”. As an academic who has traveled the world working as a historian and archaeologist she has shown the nerve of someone who has been more than ready to get their hands dirty. [/color][/indent]

[indent][color=gray]While lacking a military pedigree, Dr. Elizabeth Carrington is one of the finest minds of her generation. Her expertise in language, history, and culture provides a very valuable role among the civilian members of the HMS Tempest. She has degrees from some of the United Kingdom's finest universities and has been proving herself as a noteworthy archaeologist and historian for a good amount of years now.

The flaws of having Beth serve aboard the Tempest are all pretty standard – her psychological profile while stable does make her difficult to work with and she has no real military experience. The bulk of her history with armed combat can be summed up as misunderstandings with hostile forces in zones of study. If given a firearm she knows to point it and pull the trigger, but has nothing in terms of honed reflexes or insight. Her specialty is with language, culture, excavation, and analysis.[/color][/indent]
