Kyron was born in the north and moved to the main city once he was of age because he wanted to join the wizard council. After graduating the academy, he achieved his goal and became a protector. He was not assigned to anybody at first, however, so he was given different assignments until there was somebody available. One mission was to travel to another world to see if it would be safe for the wizard ambassador to communicate with. He had been on similar jobs before and it was expected to last a week at most because the residents did not seem threatening, but Kyron was dead wrong. 

The planet was inhabited by creatures called Fae and their princess took an instant liking to Kyron. She tricked him into marrying her and removed all possible ways of communicating with Wiz, so Kyron was eventually considered dead by the wizards and the planet was deemed unsafe. It was a year later when Kyron managed to find a way to escape back to Wiz and he brought along with him his two week old daughter Kyrie, because there was no way he was leaving her behind with his crazy wife. 

After his return to Wiz he devoted his time to taking care of his daughter. Two years later he went back to being a protector and was assigned to Valentine Mancini since he had experience with travelling to other worlds and dealing with other species. This was fine with Kyron and despite Valentine's cold personality, he learned to understand him and now considers him a good friend even if Valentine would rather not admit the same.
