Y'all know who my favorite character is. Sadly, D-Man's comic appearances really aren't notable enough for me to entertain a favorite.
I've always loved the Batman Reborn era in 2009 following Bruce's "death" in Final Crisis. That was the first time that the status quo recieved a major paradyme shift since the late 90's, with everyone switching up roles and going about their futures in a different way without Batman to guide them. Out of that did we not only get the excellent Grant Morrison run on Batman & Robin, but a great Batgirl book with Stephanie, a fantastic Red Robin book with Tim, and some of Paul Dini's best comics work with Streets of Gotham. Everything felt new and exciting again, and I miss that type of forward progression in comics. Beyond that, I'd have to say that both Batman: Hush and Scott Snyder's first four arcs in the main Batman book - Black Mirror, Court Of Owls, Death Of The Family, and Zero Year - remain seminal for me. Year One is probably my favorite Batman story of all, but it was only four issues. Wouldn't comsider that a run.
